During my stay, my dear Great Aunt Joan Gerhardt died of a heart attack. She was 77 and had been hospitalized for a hematoma in her right kidney. I was hoping that she would recover, and that I wouldn't know what it was like to lose someone close to you, but I guess that doesn't mean much...
