Somehow, they were away from Selger after they ran through the portal. Somehow, they came under the fire of demon casters right away. He spotted another oncoming wave of fire spells as the other three began to cast their own. "Hey, stop conjuring spells and get your mage asses down!" He shouted. "Shut up, Ray," Sylvain replied. Frustrated by their lack of observation, he pulled them down himself, one by one, just in time to avoid the magical flames. "Told you to duck," Ray sighed. "Now we have a few seconds to fight back!" He picked up his spear launcher, stood up, and quickly shot a spear, taking down one of the casters. As he crouched back down, he realised, at the same time as everybody else, that Selger was just ahead.
