Hello i am kind of new here and i just thought that i would post. (This is my first post :) ) Id also like thank Arancaytar because he actually bothered to help me, without him.. i wouldnt be playing Avernum.. My computer has some frickin problem and i can't install any of the avernum games. (I can install the exile series though)I thought i was doomed to weeks and months of boredom.. until i met Arancaytar. He painstakingly installed the demo version of the avernum series (Avernum 1 to Blades of Avernum) and zipped them into parts. :) Thank you friend, I am eternally grateful.

Welcome, then,

Have you played Blades of Avernum?

- Archimage Micael

P.S. thanks for covering up the main General topic at the moment. It gets kinda boring to see a religious argument online. I mean, that's what church is for... :P

The scenario is for levels 50-100. It is possible with lower level parties - but you'll have to do an awful lot of cheating...

Are you still interested???

I once heard this kind of conversations would count as senseless spam, and that PMs are a much better way of making up mandates than posting twenty posts in a row.

Oh, and hi, Dracanis! Welcome to the SpidWeb Boards, leave both your physical health and brains at the doorway, and prepare to get shot in the face with a bundle of bad jokes, repetitious flaming, and general sadness.

Welcome Dracanis to the show that never ends!

May your days be long and your nights even longer!

May your happiness be happy and your sadness be nonexistent!

And many other greetful greetings.

PS: TGM: 4 posts!? In a row?! Heh.

I agree with Imban. Wholeheartedly.

If anyone hasn't clued in yet, what level your party is doesn't matter. There is this handy little utility called the High Level Party Maker that someone made that will take a new party and make it whatever level you want. In the next version (release set for a few days from now), it will take ANY party and raise it to whatever level you want. And there is absolutely no way to tell the difference between these parties and parties that have developed this way naturally (except maybe the number of custom items they have or the number of scenarios they've completed, but there are no calls to check that).

EDIT: Oh, and one more thing: I find it astonishing that Micael can write "Erika the archmage" in his sig but makes his name "Archimage Micael."

Hi Dracanis. Glad to see you here, after all... and thanks for the compliments. :D

What you just saw is only the mild version of the way things go here at Spiderweb. Some months ago, I'd have told you to leave your sanity at the door, in old tradition. But I've come to think that if there's one thing we need more of in here, it's sanity. ;)

Philistine. Don't go saying good things about sanity. It's all wrong in the end. So, on that note...

Welcome, Dracanis! Leave your sanity at the door no matter what other people tell you!

—Alorael, who should also point out that yes, multiple posts in a row by the same person are frowned upon. That's what the edit button is for. Two way conversations are usually better over private messages or AIM, if you can get the AIM working without the many posts. Irony is good.
