Sup everyone,

This is just a shot in the dark but I have been unable to find this game anywhere on the net.

I wanted to see if anyone on these forums had ever tried this game and if they still had access to it.

If ya do I would be eternally grateful if ya could share it with me :) .

Also is there an ETA on Nethargate: Ressurection for Windows?

Taskmaker was one of the very first RPGs I played, and I eventually did find a copy of it for Mac. Unfortunately it was a demo and can no long be registered. Oh well, was nice to get to play at least half of it again.

There's trillions of web pages now just for games. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Well, here it is:

http://www.the-underdogs.info/downloadfile.php?file=games/t/tombtask/files/tomb task.zip&id=4495

If that doesn't work- just go to the site and press the "get here" link near the bottom: Site

I hope that helps.

EDIT: As I figure you're running a Windows machine (the Nethergate question), you'll need an old freeware MAC emulator (the site says this one works fine): Basilisk II. Doubt the emulator'll work on Vista though.

ETA for Nethergate: Resurrection for Windows is still July. Probably the end of the month since it's still in beta testing the last time Jeff mentioned it a few days ago.

Yay! Another Taskmaker fan!

If you can't get Basilisk II to run, (or don't want to) Executor is a good alternative. It's easy to set up. Executor

You know, I didn't see any description of the game in this thread.

And I don't want to click the links untill I know what it is about.

Your post also seems like an attack.

Tomb of the Taskmaker is the Sequel to Taskmaker.

These are both old school RPGs from around the same era of Nethargate the original.

They are Mac only though so ya need an emulator to run on Windows.

And I don't know abotu yall but the underdogs site won't populate the Taskmaker page....that's where I had been trying to get it before.

First off, Mac is not an acronym. :P
Secondly, Basilisk II runs perfectly well in Vista.

Taskmaker is from 1989. That's before E1. Tomb was made in 1997, so it's only a little older than Nethergate.

I used to own a black and white mac (my parents threw it away...) which had some really addicting games. I just found a download for one of my favorites shufflepuck cafe. The website has a download at the end, so if it works, try it out. Unfortunately I don't own a mac :(

Google is your friend. As a general piece of advice, when you want to ask the question, "What is [the thing that is the topic of discussion]?", first check Wikipedia, and then check Google. If you can't find out from a two-minute check in those two places, then ask, but not before you've tried to find out for yourself.

SUCCESS !!!!!

Underdogs finally loaded the download section for Tomb of the Taskmaker.

Now I just have to figure out how to get Basilisk or some other emulator running.

From what I've read on it I am going to need some MAC ROM file in order to run the emulators. Does anyone know a good place to get one....something like OS 4.5 would be fine.

Thanks :) and it was definately nice finding so many people who enjoyed this game back in the day too.

Everything you need to install OS 7.5 on Basilisk II should be right here:

(UBB hates underscores in URLs for whatever reason)

More than you know.

Muffin, you could have put a small amount of effort into figuring out what the game is about before posting.
