VCH, even if TM isn't exactly a member anymore, I'm pretty sure that comment goes against the CoC. I have not been here in a while, so I am hoping someone can direct me to some recent examples of elitism on these boards. I would be very interested to examine them. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Please. We don't nominate ourselves. We nominate each other in order to provide a flimsy veil of respectability. —Alorael, who has very little to add to this thread except that this is the internet. The internet will be what the internet is. Learn to live with it or, as TM would say, get off his internet. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I don't know about actual 10 year-olds, but we definitely have a few who are 12 or 13. But we have many who are older than 20, so the age range is actually wider than 10 years. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

There have definitely been 10-year-olds here in the past, and I imagine there still are now. Certainly there must be 10-year-old lurkers. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

Well, let's see. I know Iffy is thirteen, and I joined when I was ten, which means I am thirteen. I don't think I act like it though. My mental age seems to be higher then my physical age, but that's probably my ego speaking. I'll let you guys decide if I act like a thirteen year old or not. -------------------- Born in the year 1984. War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. Nalyd, who is also thirteen, thinks you're older than thirteen, mentally. Himself. . . sometimes. But he's more often ten. ;) [ Friday, June 15, 2007 11:12: Message edited by: Thoughts in Chaos ] -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Be able to make a better argument would go along more of the lines of being experinced. The main problem I have with elitism is the sense of entilment that comes with it. along the lines of 'I have been here for ages that makes me right and you' wrong mindset. Thier is nothing wrong with being a vetern or being sure of your self but ignoring or flameing someone becuase they are new instead of their arugment or ideas is not a good thing. I'm not sure if this forum has that problem but then again it is not my place to say. -------------------- A rock has weight whether you admit it or not Posts: 479 | Registered: Wednesday, July 12 2006 07:00 |

quote:Seriously. There are only about two or three people I miss from these boards, and Rosycat is one of them. I must say, the Manchester dance scene doesn't quite live up to it's reputation. There's an URL lurking about here somewhere, if you're clever enough to find it.
