All right, let's assess.

Aran is plotting to take over the Internet through bots and is cloning himself, apparently, to take over the physical world as well. I have a much easier explanation.

IMAGE(http://www.reviewjournal.com/images/bestoflv/1998/photos/startrek-borg.jpg)

Aran is a modified Borg! Run for your lives!

Watch Star Trek a little.

You'll probably have nightmares after you see those things...

Not TOS though; the Borg wasn't introduced at that point.

I tried to think of something witty to put here.

Needless to say, I failed.

They were originally introduced in TNG (80s), and again in Enterprise (01-06).

Voyager has more borg episodes than either of those.

Not to mention the fact that TNG was on for more years in the 90s than the 80s and that Enterprise went of the air in 2005.

TNG was on the cusp -- it was 87-94, wasn't it?

TNG = quite possibly the best show ever?

So Aran is making a bunch of Cyborgs to take over the world?...great. "Run! The Aranborgs are coming!"

Hardly. Even if you hate Star Trek, and I know that many people unfortunately do, you have to agree that there are much worse things out there. Even some of the other Star Trek series **coughcoughEnterprisecoughcough** were worse.

Ach, beat. Well, all I have to add is that at least three of the Star Treks (the original, TNG, and Voyager) were completely classic and awesome.

Voyager sucks. Not as much as Enterprise, of course, but still. Living oatmeal FTW.

KoK says, "TNG is great!" You respond, "No, TNG is great?"

Tyran, you've outdone yourself with that post.

Actually, in the movie with the returned Voyager probe, the planet of living machines it went to consisted of the early stages of the Borg, according to a Star Trek book I once read (I forget the title, it was a while back). I can't believe I haven't visited these forums in like 6 weeks  . Work and school kept me busy.

edit: I also started playing GF4 only yesterday despite the months of anticipation before its release

The movie is Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and the book is The Return by William Shatner.
