I moved about a year ago, and after a family member got sick I had to stop school for a while. I do intend on going back to school when able. For the past several months I've just been working, and there has been a lot of construction done on the house, which has taken a good amount of my attention. We also have four new puppies, so they've been keeping me busy as well. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Congrats Synergy! I got fairly drunk after I received my Ph.D., and again once I realized I was out of a job! Currently I'm doing a post-doc here at the U of Arizona, though I'm also waiting to hear on an assistant professorship at the University of Arkansas in geosciences. I should find out in the next 2 weeks. At least it's from one U of A to another U of A. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives. Hey Kel and Salmon, thanks for the welcome :) Wanted to stop in and see who was still around, and how everyone is. Probably wont post a ton, but I'll read through the threads more often. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Ah, so you're really back then, instead of just stopping in once or twice. Welcome back! Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

quote:Yes you may, and so you did. Impressive, and honorable. quote:Yes, this is the downside to finally graduating. One no longer has an excuse to not have a real job. I'm giving myself two more weeks till I buckle down to it. Meanwhile, everyone who knows I'm also an electrician has a job for me. There's a weird irony in graduating in one's much beloved new field to find oneself with jobs popping up in one's former not so beloved profession. But hey, bills to pay.
At least it's from one U of A to another U of A.
So...you won't need to be changing your monogrammed letterhead then. Dolphin: thank you for honoring this thread with your return. I know I've commented here once or twice in the past that I was sorry I never had the opportunity to enjoy your company here, as apparently I arrived about the same time you departed. Do stick around, if you'll be so good. Clearly you are appreciated here. And if one must be spammy, I would have to say that it is good to be artistically spammerific. Salmon, finally I understand your signature. I haven't yet had the courage (or foolhardiness) to try the goofballs I was thoughtfully given absolutely free of charge by someone on the wrong side of the tracks. -S- -------------------- A4 Item Locations A4 Singleton G4 Items List G4 Forging List The Insidious Infiltrator Posts: 2009 | Registered: Monday, September 12 2005 07:00 |

My wife and I are both still working, and our daughter is very low maintenance as five year olds go, but that's not really all that low, and our careers are rather high maintenance. I don't think we're really thinking of changing anything soon, but we're definitely thinking about the issues. -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty.
