You can have typos in a forward-reading message. What's so horrible about having them in a backwards-reading one? :D

This is a nice description of what bots are from Botspot. There are other non-evil uses. You can use them to track news on a specific subject, or find certain things. Not all bots are evil, just the stupid advertising and spambots. Out damn bot, out.

After all those posts you can expect a few typos.

Bots aren't evil, only their creators are.

If only the creator of something that does damage is at fault, then it stands to reason that creationists would remove themselves from all moral responsibility.
This is similar to the "guns don't kill people... sentiment, except perhaps more direct (in that the creator is also the one using the implement).
In terms of human responsibility, you could bring up the concept of free will, but if you look around at most humans (or at least Americans), you may began to wonder if we truly possess such a thing.
So even if the bots are not evil in and of themselves, they are imbued with the spirit of evil and sucessfully satisfy the broader category in question.

It's like the Dr., only with metaphysics.

(I mean the real Dr. of course, the one on Polaris. Did we call him the Good Dr.?)

Eh, so what? Stranger ones than that have cropped up recently. And that one was at least sophisticated enough to use sentence-like phrases.

EDIT: Odd... those tags should've been right. UBB's acting up a lot today.

EDIT2: Even stranger... it just puts a space in the bold quote tag each time, even after I've fixed it. Does this mean the board is going to implode?

EDIT3: Wow, I shouldn't have spent this much time fixing the post.
