Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! Interestingly enough, no one would associate Thanksgiving with the Native Americans were it not for the first one in Jamestown with the helpful native Squanto. Such a day was celebrated in many different countries and cultures simply as a day for giving thanks for having a successful harvest. Thanksgiving was a harvest festival to give thanks for blessings and good times, not to commemorate a particular instance of white people manifest destiny-ing the Indians to death. We've got to take at least a little time today out of our hectic lives to stop whining and count our blessings.
