Polaris is now back with a major software upgrade, sadly involving the loss of skin files, but not of any posts.

As a stout two-month member of Polaris, I am of course overjoyed.
I'll miss two things though:
1. My title. I liked "Waiting For A Ship".
2. Looking at the Top Ten Overall Posters list and seeing my name in third (With 72 posts since around two weeks ago, when the boards went down).

Several attempts at hacking the board, because of software issues in older Invision versions that are being exploited globally right now. A considerable number of forums went down. So those of you with older Invision stuff, be on the alert. It's nothing personal, just a game.

When it had reached the point where only a twentyfour hours watch of the admin panel would have kept the board up and running, Logalot took it offline and went for an upgrade.

Which leads me to conclude that Spiderweb Software consists of a horde of partially hypnotized monkeys (the same monkeys who could, in five minutes, type out the Communist Manifesto) who alternate between educated debate and their more natural state, which includes swinging through trees, flinging waste at each other and cackling madly. :)
