Aren't you glad it isn't any of those things?

Congrats, Diki!

Oh, and undead karma census poll, clearly.

Congratulations, Dikiyoba! May you give the board ten times that yet and more. :)

And yes, I'm relieved it's none of those things that are mentioned in the title.

Alas, I need to sign off. The world is conspired against me; for the next week my only way to post here is in a unix command-line browser through about three different proxies over ssh, and I have lectures in less than eight hours. Good night!

Diki,
Never scare us like that again.

And Congrats!

The Silent Assassin would like to bring back up that whole calculation about Dikiyoba being on the forums about 5/4ths the amount of time that Lenar Labs has, and having 9 times as many posts.
I would like to say that I think he's jealous.

It took you 110 days, which means that you did slightly worse on average than 10 posts per day, a brisk pace considering how long you kept at it. I did about that on my second thousand, but I've slowed down somewhat since then.

Anyway, congratulations, Dikiyoba!

A very speedy 1000 posts, makes me wonder who was the fastest to ever reach this plateau.

I'm just going to guess Alorael.

Congrats, Dikiyoba! For a second, I thought this topic would actually contain the title...

Very simple. On the floor of our dormitory, we had a kind of arrangement, in which we got together every second week to clean our common kitchen, and our floor speaker would attend the monthly house meetings. I was very surprised to find out yesterday that nobody had attended the meeting on Wednesday, and all internet access on our floor had therefore been cut.

After some time, I found a way to connect, by starting a shell session on my dorm's mailserver, then using that to start a shell session on our computing center's server cluster (which I can do because I work there ;) ), and then using lynx to go online. It works, but it isn't the nicest way to surf.

Sorry. I won't. At least not for the next 1000 posts or so.

I'm actually surprised at how quickly I made it to 1000. My original estimate (about a month after I joined) was that I would reach 1000 towards the end of May.

Of course, I have a backpacking trip in June. That will mess up my "brisk pace." Unless, of course, I invent a bot to post for me...

Where's the explanation? Dikiyoba can't accept names without an explanation to go with them.

This one kinda reminds me of a pterodactyl, which is fitting, I suppose. You know, what with the name Dikiyoba, and all.

Congratulations on the insane posting rate.

Seconded. (ok, sorry)

Hmm, my average posts per day looks to be about 0.133. Granted, there have been several-year periods where I haven't touched this place, so during my semi-active phase the ratio would be higher. Still, I'm just not a very vocal person.

I salute your prolificacy.

- Go to your profile.

- Find your joining date.

- Calculate the number of days between that day and now.

- Divide your post count by that.

Et voilá. :)

This is 5715/1065 = 5.37 for me, incidentally.

Edit: When I have time I'll add that feature to the endeavor thingie.

Hmmm... That puts me at 1.09574468 posts per day. I think. And not including this one. My head hurts.

Did anyone else notice I joined on the first of January, 2006?

Because I didn't.

Mmm, congratulations.

I think I used to have a fairly high post rate, sometimes hitting 30 a day. Really have dropped off a lot though, in the last year. I'll be lucky if I make 2k by the time I'm twenty.

1778/442 = 4.02

Considering the 136 days I've been away it's more like 1778/306 = 5.81

I spammed when I first joined, then forced myself to stay away for a while and now my posting rate has slowed quite a bit.

371/176 = 2.2215909090909090909090909090909

Given that I don't post on the Sabbath, (there's been about 25 of them) my average is slightly larger than that, about 2.4569536423841059602649006622517
