In the post that had the picture of him, no mention was made of which one he was. I believe that he was simply clarifying who he was in that pic.

I'm actually a big fan of metal with synthesizers. Keyboards have been a big part of hard rock since the acid-rock electric organs of the late 1960's (best known from The Doors).

I'm trying to think of a famous metal song in which the keyboard was actually used for a piano sound. I think Guns N' Roses did this regularly. Civil War is the song that comes to mind.

Find me some metal with recorders and I'll be a happy man.

Fine with me, but that still doesn't clarify the "ugh" part.

There is no need to clarify it; clearly he just doesn't like it. Everyone has the right to like/hate whatever they want. Anyways, I'll jump in Alo and Kel's bandwagon and say that I am a metal fan as well. I'm no groupie, but I certainly like it.
On a completely different note, Kel sweetie, could you stop the face palming? I don't like you hurting yourself.

I'm sure Led Zeppelin did this at some point. I think they used synthesized flutes more often, though. Oh, and Jethro Tull must have used recorders at some point.

Don't worry, honey: I do it carefully. There's a narrow threshold of force with which a hand hitting skin will create a loud smack but not harm anything, and I have become pretty good at finding this threshold. It is useful in a variety of circumstances.

Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson played a real flute, but not a recorder as I recall. They were rock rather than metal though. This was back in the 60s and 70s...

IMAGE(http://glen.utdallas.edu/Glen/CDs/Jethro%20Tull/jethro%20tull.jpg)

Thijs van Leer of Focus also played the flute, but again that would be rock rather than metal.

Then Michelle in the Mamas amd the Papas played the recorder, and so did Nick Taylor in Duran Duran's "The Chauffeur". Still not metal...

EDIT: Flute, dammit, not flue

So if Dikiyoba calls Nicothodes cute, Dikiyoba dies. What happens if Dikiyoba calls Nicothodes ugly?

On the other hand, you haven't gotten the full metal experience until you've heard it in French. Meet the lead singer 'Anorexia Nervosa':

Proving once again that life is filled with surprises, when it turns out "French" and "heavy metal" can, in fact, be used in the same sentence.

Quite a dilemma, huh? But then, it's always a tricky business to talk to girls about their looks. It is often more advisable to lie than to tell the truth and face the consequences. Thus, I guess it's better to call Nicothodes ugly. Anything that keeps you alive... :P

Are you kidding me? Europe invented metal. There are hundreds of bands that see no reason to resort to singing in English.

Actually, to be more specific, the United Kingdom invented metal.

P.S. It's getting to the point where I can't make a single post without linking to wikipedia. This is ridiculous. Somebody please snap me out of this.
