I don't resemblence anyone outside my family, and not even many people in my family, which is a good thing. I don't like to be compared to other people, let alone be mistaken for someone else. Also:
1) Thuryl does NOT look like Macaulay Culkin
2) Aran: The way I see it Harry is quite cute, so you should be proud to look like him. But taking that as flirting .........?

Thuryl looks more like Culkin than I do, and I have been repeatedly accused of looking like him. So, neh. I sympathize.

And Aran, you don't look like Harry Potter, and that's probably a good thing.

Thuryl does look a bit like Macaulay Culkin, but I really don't think Aran looks like Harry Potter at all.

One can only look like Harry Potter when they wander around with a scar or tattoo on the middle of their forehead.

Many messages will be displayed under the form, but at the very bottom of the page there should be a link to the file you just uploaded. Right-click on the link and copy the address. Then write

That's ... not too bad. Consider yourself lucky it isn't 50+ men who come up to you with creepy smiles and ask if you know many languages.

Creepy and confusing. How is asking about languages a pick-up line?

Also, I don't have trouble picturing Thuryl getting hit on by middle-aged women...

You know, you don't have to act like you don't know who #3980 is. I hate to break it to you, but it's common knowledge already. :P

If by "commong knowledge" you mean "known to people who recognize his posting style" then yes, you are correct. :P

EDIT: I voted yes. But I still require a cookie.

I have no idea, but it happens surprisingly often. And in the most random places, too. It is rather creepy. They may not ask that question straight away, but it always comes in somewhere in the conversation.

Well, if I recall correctly, you're of Asian descent on one side of your family, right? I'd assume that has something to do with it. Since you look foreign, it's assumed you must have spent time in foreign countries and learned foreign languages.

Have you discussed this problem with a certain other Spidwebber whose uncanny Harry Potter resemblance shall be his to reveal or conceal for now, Aran? There might be some good fan horde evasion tips to share.
Edit:

Also, he is (to avoid the almost inevitable confusion, this is Morgan, not me.)

I think everyone, at some point or another gets accused of looking like Harry Potter. It's just one of those things. Guess it's just one of those things/random accusations. Though I could easily see potential for a new photo thread where everyone came up with pictures of Daniel Radcliff.

Ah, yes. Though, I have a slightly off-topic question. Unless I've mixed my member numbers up, which, while a recurring problem, along with having to ask myself who the hell half of you people are and how long was I gone, I don't think I have, today, why was EM banned?

Well that was a story and a half. :P Was it really that easy?

And as for the Harry Potter lookalikes, it has been said that my latest MSN photo has a certain resembalance to the boy wizard...

I've never been accused of looking like Harry Potter. My most recent comparisons have been to Darth Vader, usually with a hasty explanation that they mean the Darth Vader in the newer Star Wars movies, not the old ones.

—Alorael, who is either more asthmatic and, er, metallic than he thought or a terrible actor. Neither one is something to write home about.

Sometimes my shadow looks like Darth Vader. I look nothing like Darth Vader, but my shadow does. Neither my shadow nor I look like Harry Potter.

Well, the scarf contributes a lot (it's almost the right colors). And the hair looks to be of a similar length.

The doubt implied here is more probably honest and sometimes even mutual, Thuryl.
In addition, personalities appear much different on the web than in R/L, as I am sure you know.

Spring, not every spiderwebber is an avid reader of Polaris.

Hey, tin foil hatters, has it ever come to your mind, I am hired to transform this forum to the same vegetative state as the D&T in Polaris?

just joking. I admit it was intentionally creepy.

... Quite the imagination there.

By the way, it seems the noobs are slowly winning in your script. I recommend that Alorael starts using an automatic; those sniper rifles are too slow on the reload.

EDIT: Clarification.

Perhaps. I don't look all that foreign, though. The Malay half isn't very strong, and most people never pick up on it. As for language ... I suppose my accent is not as Aussie as it could be, but that comes from spending some formative years in other English-speaking countries.

That still doesn't explain the number of times men twice my age try to pick me up.

You know what Alo?; it strikes me that you try to be so mysterious all the time that you're probably not mysterious at all. I'm almost 100% sure that you are just a common teenager. You're probably a 17 year old, named john or José who happens to live in Florida with your mom, dad, sister and a dog called spike.
