Okay, slightly ripping off Jumpin' Salmon's thread here... If you were a movie, what would you be? Same rules from his - it's gotta be obvious why, or else you gotta explain your choices. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? I'd be a funny film, in which chickens take over the world. they are helped by this big sandwhich called Paul. Together they start a cafe, and paul gets eaten. Why i chose this, should be obvious for the ones who know me. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. The point was to say which *real* film you would be. Real as in actually existing... :) Edit: Why do all my topics descend into silliness? Well, most of them at any rate! Do you mind if I don't care? I had to let that out. Probably either "Fight Club", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", or "Dogma". -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. Posts: 4130 | Registered: Friday, March 26 2004 08:00 |

quote:"The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Each prayer answered, each wish resign'd." I love this film so very much. It would probably be my choice, closely followed by Donnie Darko. I really love Clementine as a character though. She is so wonderful! -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? I would choose "The blues brothers." I think it is a hilarious film. The choice is therefor obvious, i think. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! I don't suppose you have a sibling who points and yells "Hey! That's you!" every time a fell beast comes into view, though. Dikiyoba supposes that's what Dikiyoba deserves for yelling "Hey! That's a really nice shot of you!" at said sibling every time there is a shot of a particularily ugly orc. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Salmon and Slartucker mentioned two films I am quite partial to (Yeahhhhhhh, let me just....get that from you....greeeeaaaaaat), but for overall total pleasure afforded me during my lifetime by one movie, and for a film that remains watchable to me: Raiders of the Lost Ark. Slarty...are you a fan of other Hayao Miyazaki films? That reminds me that Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind finally got reissued on DVD recently, which I need to pick up. Anyone seen Porco Rosso, and if so, what do you think? Yes and no, Synergy. Unfortunately, Spirited Away was the first Miyazaki I saw, and it left me with rather high expectations which his others haven't lived up to. (Actually, that's not entirely true; I saw Princess Mononoke a long time ago, but I barely remembered it.) When I first saw Howl's Moving Castle, I was horrified. I felt it had all the individual elements that made Spirited Away so wonderful, but without such an impressive constellating of them. I still liked it, of course. I had similar reactions to the others I've seen. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |
