Volgens my was er al eens zo'n topic hier. Nou ja, dit is ook leuk. Also, du bist neu hier? Ceterum censeo multum homines in linguam latinam dicere velle, sed non posse. that was it, I think. All languages I can succesfully write in (I skipped Hebrew. I'm quite bad in writing that). EDIT: oh well, you guys persuaded me. Now let me see, I'm quite bad in writing Hebrew, but I'll try anyway: Ani goshev she ani b'glal lo yagol l'gtov Ivrit. Ani m'od lo tov bè zè. I'm really bad, am I. Ja Der Wagenhumpen. It is quite telling that beyond English and German, I am familiar with no other natural languages (although I can read French with little effort, and I 'understand' Dutch - but nearly all Germans can do that).

I feel there should be commas in there somewhere... Probably for a reason. I'm sure that sentence is faulty, my Swedish sucks. I had to check some of those words on the dictionary, too! [ Sunday, January 29, 2006 13:49: Message edited by: Hanttiworker ] -------------------- "I'm not crazy!" "Well, whatever. Ok, lets see...I can remember little or no French, and the only German I know is what I picked up from the book Elli... Bonjour, je'mapplle Spring il est 13 ans. Septembre Octobre Novembre ... (I have a feeling I messed up the first sentence) (I can count up to 20, and that is basically my French prowess) As for German, I only know some random words I have picked up from various places and from some Rammstein songs. Ich Mien Hier commst de sonne (spelling is off, I think, but I can't remember it - meant to say 'Here comes the sun') Arbeit macht frei ...that is all. Oh, and blode (with an accent on 'o', meaning blonde, I think). -------------------- I'll put a Spring in your step. Posts: 2396 | Registered: Saturday, January 29 2005 08:00 |

Mówię trochę po polsku. And I'm taking German right now, but after two weeks, I can't even express an ability or inability to speak in it. So all in all, I have some experience with at least six languages, but I can't speak any other than English well enough to hold a decent conversation. EDIT: I said I didn't speak Spanish, darnit. :P [ Sunday, January 29, 2006 21:36: Message edited by: Kelandon ] -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. And last but not least, Je parlez français. Non dico, Kelandon? If you can write it, you can speak it, to some degree... Latin has been frequently spoken in many different contexts since more than two thousand years ago (conversationally in the Roman Empire, in church in Middle Ages, among intellectuals in the Renaissance and Enlightment, etc.). I was merely indicating that my Latin right now is pretty poor, poor enough that if I were to try to hold a conversation with someone in Latin, I'd fail pretty pathetically. I need frequent use of a dictionary and of forms tables.
