Now why would someone go and give me a Karma of 1 star? I've done nothing but be helpful to others on the boards and keep my opions to myself for the most part. So I ask again, why would someone go and give me 1 star? I can actually only think of one reason why, and it has nothing to do with my attitude and candor in here.... Ironically, creating such a topic is a great way to get a rating of one star. Don't worry about it, though. Many ratings here are arbitrary, and karma really isn't a great indicator of the general feeling towards anyone. In all honesty, the Spiderweb populace in general is probably apathetic rather than hostile towards you; 66 posts are rarely enough to accuractely judge a person. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Why on earth would about 50 people give me a one-star vote? I mean, I've never cussed anyone out of anything and have a right to my opinions, right?  Is everyone here crazy or something? (NOTE TO ARKADILO: Please remember to leave your sanity at the door before venturing any further.) EDIT: Wow, three posts at exactly the same time. That doesn't happed very often. If having one star bothers you, it can be turned of in your "view/update profile" section in "my profile". I recently saw somebody decorated with one star just after registration. o_o He/she was member for a few minutes and had one star without having posted once! (I guess it was for the rather long, stretched moniker this person chose.) edit: :) Hey arkadilo, no reason to hide your stars. Nobody can upgrade you now. If you have bad karma here, you probably kicked a puppy or something. No, we don't know about it, but that's how karma works. Do something bad and something unrelated will punish you. —Alorael, who highly advises not taking this literally, as this is a very loose (read: fictionalized) version of karma. The real version involves being reborn as zooplankton after you die because you kicked a puppy. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

My strategy was to lurk in the shadows for a while and then slowly slide into posting every once in a while. As far as I know no-one has rated me. -------------------- "Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending" Posts: 287 | Registered: Tuesday, August 19 2003 07:00 |

It used to be possible to vote for the karma of members who had turned it off, although it still didn't display. When you turn your karma back on, it returns exactly as it was when it was deactivated. There's no way to falsify the opinions of others here! —Alorael, who is willing to at least partially falsify opinions for the right amount. Rates are negotiabl on a per-star basis.
