How old are you now? The older you get - the worse you think you're young life is. Till you get past fifty, and then you'll be wishing for your young life back.

How would you know?

For the record, I'm 21-30.

I can see where some people get their viciousness from. You should be a role-model, you know. You could teach people how to make cutting remarks. Like James Bond's CUTTING EDGE technology...

I'm 19, and I can remember being 11, and no, it wasn't pretty, either. I can imagine wishing to be 25 when I'm 50, but not wishing to be a 11 again.

11 is just a bit TOO young, isn't it? (I'm over 11! Defenetely!)

If i could stick to one age forever - I'd stick to somewhere in the 12 - 14 range. Any younger - it'd suck - any older - it'd suck just as much.

You're 13, I see. Seems about right, although I'd have pegged you lower.

Sticking at an age... I'd say 22. Best year of my life.

What would you have classed me at?

I would personally have classed you at about 14/15.

Personally, I would prefer to be 13 again. Back then I used to live alot more, stay out longer, philosophise less and was generally a happier person.

Now, a bare two years on, I am often struck by melancholy and lack of motivation. My potential and skills have increased, but the real ability to do anything is just the same. Add that to some of my more disturbing, yet all but certain theories, and this just aggrieves me. And, with the assistance of other environmental factors, has rendered me quite insane.

Just as big, just as smart, but restricted by the fools who just see a child.

See, this is why sharing ages over the internet leads only to stupidity. There are the older teenagers who act like elementary school students, and bad ones at that. There are the preteens who think they can act mature and end up acting like elementary school students. There are the few people of all ages who manage to act like rational human beings.

I'd much rather group people by useful types than by age. Wittily caustic, nauseatingly bubbly (no bias, I swear!), obnoxiously egocentric, and childishly petulant seem to be the overrepresented categories. Some of them are much better and much more honest at identifying themselves than others. I'm sure you can figure it out.

?Alorael, who just found a tangent and wandered away with it. He'd apologize if he were sincerely sorry, but instead he'll just mutter and hope nobody notices because they're too busy trying to put each other into nice, neat little boxes.

Hmm. Let's see.

Irrationally exuberant? Check.
Self-aggrandizing? Check.
Abstract thought processes rivalling a particularly clever clump of moss? Check.
Blind neophilia? Check.

I'd say around 8 or so.

How 'bout we forget trying to get to know people here, and just leave your ideas of what people are up to your imagination.

That's usually how boards, and the internet in general, work.

Nah, I find it interesting to know that Drakey is actually five years old.

Besides, I can usually guess people's ages after a handful of posts. It doesn't really affect my judgment of that person, but it is an interesting side-note.

Sometimes people are more mature. Sometimes they are more childish. A fifty-year-old can have the worst spelling and grammar of anyone you know.

But that is sidetracked and pointless, not to mention dull.

It doesn't matter how old someone is. Or who they are. Not even what they say. All that really matters is the whole.

Ah rollocks. I apologise. I'm not really a people-person at the moment. Nor do I use more than two of my personalities on these boards. But at the moment I really couldn't care less.

I honestly can't remember being eleven.

But then, oh yes, I'm twenty-seven. Much older than you tiddlers.

I feel nothing but pity for someone named after Lena Xao.

They want to have a war to keep their factories
They want to have a war to keep us on our knees
They want to have a war to stop us buying Japanese
They want to have a war to stop industrial disease
They're pointing out the enemy to keep you deaf and blind
They want to suck your energy, incarcerate your mind
Give you Rule Brittania, gassy beer, page three
Two weeks in Hispania and sunday striptease
Meanwhile, the first Jesus says, "I'll cure it soon
Abolish Monday mornings and Friday afternoons"
The other one's out on hunger strike, he's dying by degrees
How come Jesus gets industrial disease?

You remember events that happened when you were 11, I have no doubt. As for what it was like to be 11, you can't completely remember. It's comparable to trying to remember what it was like to not know something once you know it. You can't completely remember the way you saw the world without a healthy bit of distortion from your current view of things. IMHO, anyway, you could always be unique... IMAGE(smile001.gif)

EDIT: A little after the fact, I admit, but I posted it nonetheless...
