...have litter boxes in their houses? Or do they go out in the bushes/mushroom groves somewhere?

Read more thoroughly TM. Rosy said "like you and me". Doodoo then implied that his own preference involved pepsi bottles; therefore Rosy revised the statement to exclude him (have you seen a Nephil use a pepsi bottle?!).

The meaning of "like me" is obvious in the context.

And what about hairballs? What are their dining customs? Do they randomly snarl and hiss when they first meet other nephils? Oh oh - do they mark their territory? And while I'm at it, do Sliths shed their skin? If so, do they eat it?

Being randomly philosophical will get you... well not nowhere. It'll get you somewhere, just you may not like where that is. :P

On the off-chance that a response will make any sense, same, the usual, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, of course, they're reptilian, so presumably, unlikely.

Have fun. :D

The prospect of self-cannibalism frankly scares me, but somehow seems fitting for the (evil) Sliths, perhaps as a ritual (of sorts) to their dark deity.

Well Nephil and Slith both can be perceived as evolved and have obviously taken up many human customs.

So the dining question is probably quite obvious as what the answer is, excluding a few feral and barbaric groups who hunt and devour their prey anywhere they find it. Hairballs occur only when the feline has been licking its fur to keep it clean, so it is unlikely with Nephil. Again, the Nephil are evolved and most likely snarl and hiss only when threatened. Marking their territory? Highly unlikely for the reason that it is unsanitary, and that it is quite rude.

Sliths might shed as they grow, but I'm not sure.

Nephil dining habits are probably much like human dining habits. They have various polite ways to consume food, but, when it comes down to it, they're just hungry critters who want to tear apart dead things and eat their flesh. And they have the claws and teeth to make silverware a definite unnecessary luxury.

—Alorael, who suspects that sliths don't shed like snakes. They may slough off sections of their scales, but nothing as drastic as a snake's sudden and total scale replacement. There would be signs of things like that in the sliths lairs otherwise.

No, no, that was me being stupidly inquisitive. Fleshing out these little details in my mind makes me feel more immersed in the games. Not that I really care what you all think the commode habits of made up creatures are, I'm just being silly.

I think you have come to the right place to do that, but I don't think this was in the right area of the forum. Although, posting in General will get you more replies.

About the territory marking: The nephilim have a tribal culture, right? Wouldn't this sort of... defeat the purpose of any marks? I mean, cats put marks because they live by themselves and each have their own territory. Whereas Nephilim live closely together, where the option of staking a personal 'claim' is near impossible...

Hairballs and fur-licking: I can imagine a Nephil licking his fur clean... it's a weird picture, but what speaks against it? ;)

They will have marj=kings, but TRIBE markings, so that other Nephilim tribes know to stay away. I mean, come on. Nephil probably squabble as much as us petty humans, or the Sliths -(WHICH AREN'T ALWAYS EVIL!)

Thought: Slith might shed their skin... perhaps during their growth spurt? (Assuming they have the same kind of growth phases humans do.)
Eh, just a random thought...

Well, they and dragons are obviously reptiles since they hatch from eggs. Dragons seem to shed scales as well (you find one of those in the Roach Pit in Exile III). Naturally, Dragons grow quite a bit more than Sliths to reach their full size - and legend has it they never cease growing.
Sliths would need to shed their skins less often, I think, and only in their childhood, when they aren't fully grown yet.
