When is the next RP going to be started? I can easily understand that many people would like a break from posting in RPs. In addition, I can understand that school, college, and work can take up most of a person's time.

I am just curious. That's all. I found it to be loads of fun while I was in one, but now I am bored without it.

Plans are being hatched. Dungeons are being excavated. Dread horrors are being pulled out of storage.

Keep waiting...

The custard-pie propulsion devices still need testing, but with time they should improve.

I have reason to believe that the eventual RP will make more sense than this string of posts.

Xian Custard? :P

I've been pondering making a Geneforge RP thread, and I've begun planning it out in my head... from what I'm making, it's going to be interesting.

An RP based on Geneforge? The game is all right, but I shudder about the RP. The Avernum RP took an expert team ( :P ) more than a month to develop.

Real medieval or the sort in which you occasionally run into dragons and fairies?

Medieval gets so boring from time to time. I vote for some kind of scifi (and for the love of God, no silly scifi!). They're usually a good ground for creating interesting personalities.

Crumbled Empire didn't work in Polaris as i had planned - everybody was a Monarchist except for Nazgul, prem, and me. i'm just wondering if it will be the same here...

it's not very active either, with only five somewhat active people in the actual RP at Polaris.

"Everybody" = myself and Ironweed...

I agree with you, Ironweed, about the sci-fi RP. Space RP's on Spidwerweb have a history of going bad, though... well, we'll see.

I am planning an serious SciFi RP, and ive allready written over two pages of notes and story.
And im grammar checking it in word to make sure everything is spelled corectly, and when im finished I will make a teacher from USA in our school check it and see that it is understandable.

Should maybe check this stuff in word too, but im tired.

My God, a month? Do you guys have too much idle time on your hands or something? (wait, don't answer that)

Uh... anyway, what's so terrible about the idea of a Geneforge RP thread?

What I meant was that it's hard to make a good story for an RP in a setting taken from one of the games. The Avernum RP is clearly a precedent for what might be done with Geneforge, so I just wanted to point out how hard it actually is.

A good plot is just tricky to develop - and if you don't have a good plot, you can forget the rest of the RP. I mean, do we want another Zombie Attack?
