You can get better results in IQ tests by learning maths, for example. What would be an accurate way to compare two persons' intelligence? First you would have to define exactly what intelligence is. But in your lifetime, you can learn very different things. For example, you can learn maths, read fiction or learn to cultivate land. I think everyone can and does excel at something. The people who are "really smart" excel mostly at fields in math and science. Robbers (at least the ones who don't get caught) can be considered smart because they can get into a house, take things, and get out without being noticed until it is too late. People who are skilled at physical things may not be considered smart, but they really are. For example, an archer is smart in that he knows how to hold the bow, how to aim, how far to pull back the arrow, and things like that. Intelligence is raw ability and the ability to apply knowledge and skills to different situations. Skills are somewhat innate, but can require alot of practice and studying. Basic math can be considered a skill, so can archery and music. Knowledge is experience, obtained by life, trial and error, work, reading, etc. Smart really means the abilty to use what you know, or able to infer from what you know. High level math needs such inferences, So does many other fields, from archeology to business management, to teaching. -------------------- I am not really here.
