This is a forum concerning games whose events and settings are almost entirely described with passages of text. The forum members' interest in language shouldn't be much of a surprise. Posts: 137 | Registered: Saturday, January 5 2002 08:00 |

Has BoA (or BoE for that matter) been used to create a character-driven story, such as providing the player with a prefabricated party and giving the PCs actual dialogue in the story? It runs somewhat contrary to the concept of BoA, but could provide a new element to the story to make things feel new or different. (Less: you are a band of mercenaries/adventurers/flunkies with no backstory or personality sent to complete mission X) While scenarios with plot decisions and alternate endings provide some extra flavor, a scenario like this could conceivably accomplish a similar brand of character involvement with a lower degree of design/execution difficulty. Thoughts? Posts: 137 | Registered: Saturday, January 5 2002 08:00 |

I remember what it was like to be a n00b. This has been discussed before, I think some people tried it with some degree of success... but I'm too lazy to go find it. A short google search revealed nothing for me, but I'm sure someone else will know where it is. Posts: 137 | Registered: Saturday, January 5 2002 08:00 |

*beats GIFTS with a bat until he's no longer on fire* I would be inclined to say you can give up without dying, but that might just be me. Anyway, it's just some game, is it really worth all that trouble? Posts: 137 | Registered: Saturday, January 5 2002 08:00 |

I've used macs and pc's extensively. They each have advantages and disadvantages, and both get the job ton effectively. Serving me with ridiculous amounts of goat porn. So lets not start another of these pointless flame wars. On a side note, I remembered the login information for my old, abandoned account. Turns out I've been around longer than I thought I had.
