Almost three weeks and only 11 posts? Maybe we shouldn't drag this on too much longer...

How about this. I created a wall of force barriers around myself and cast quickfire. Being as I'm the only one who knows how to dispel barriers I'm safe. And that shaper isn't going to last very long...

You can say what you want about a Shaper's creatures. But I'm going to summon enough Vahnatai Lords to wipe them all off the face of the earth...

EDIT: And with Mind Duel that Shaper won't be casting any spells...

I think visiting these forums just about erases any chance of running for president and winning. Just wait until they check out the archives...

Lt. Sulfi arose to feel a sharp jolt in his remaining arm. Maroda was once again 'bleeding' him. The diseased blood leaves and fresh healthy blood replaces it. It didn't make much sense to him--but then again, he wasn't a doctor. What he did know was that over the past three years his conditioned had only worsened.

"This place will be very dangerous soon Maroda. I think it would be best if you'd head deeper into the kingdom." He spoke softly to his attendant.

"I'd prefer to stay as far away from those barbarians as I can. Besides, who else would take care of an old stubborn man like you?"

"I don't think you'll have to much..." His words trailed off as he passed out. Maroda sighed and began closing the wounds. She hoped that the next time Lt. Sulfi had woken up, he would be in a more cheerful mood.

Despite the recent invention of the wheel chair, Lt. Sulfi still fought to use what strength his legs could yet give him. Maroda, was discouraged by this; however, she was accustomed to the old man's stubborn attitude.

"Stop pacing, you'll lose your breath," she politely asked him.

"I can't help it. Can't you feel the tension in the air. I came here hoping to be free of these conflicts. They seem to find me wherever I go." He breathed before entering a fit of coughing. He quickly placed a cloth in front of his mouth. When he finally managed to calm himself down, he noticed a small spot of blood. Nothing new, he thought to himself. The combined effects of his shattered lungs and his age were starting to get worse...

Name: Acrio "Dual-Blade" Sulfi
Occupation: Lieutenant
Race: Human
Age: 52 years.

An skilled swordsman, Lt. Sulfi earned his rank years ago throughout the many border disputes of the Meher Empire. His nickname stemmed from his ability to effectively wield two swords. However, during his mid-fourties he suffered a deep wound, leading to an infection which cost him his left arm.

In the following years, he would be one of the few to survive the deadly "winter fever"; though, this was mainly because his rank afforded him better care than most. However, the disease still left it's mark. His lungs covered in scar tissue, Lt. Sulfi finds it difficult to accomplish most tasks without gasping for breath.

He is currently residing as a guest in Fort Amity. A nurse, Maroda, accompanies him at all times.

Well the Bible seems to attract people. And if Satan did write it then he seems to have acheived his goal...

Essentially a number, x, is transcendental if there is no polynomial, f, with rational coefficients such that f(x) = 0.

As a matter of mathematical fact, i is not transcendental; however, pi and e are.

Not necessarily, this could just be deception. It would certainly advantageous to have the enemy think they know your true strategy...

With how much control various sects have had on what is actually contained in the Bible, I think you'd be hard-pressed to convince that it is divinely inspired...

Would you prefer that we say that the Big Bang occurred as far back in time as time goes? How would you like to put it in order to indicate that we're tracing the radius of the circle back to r=0 and there is no farther that we can go?
I'd like to think that something as cool as a negative radius does exist...

I wouldn't quite say that. I'd say most mathematicians love pi and pie...

As far as scientists breaking down walls with hammers. Some like to pretend that they have x-ray vision...

Two things:

1. The well-ordering principle serves well enough to prove that mathematical induction works. Certainly I can't prove that all swans are white, but we mathematicians aren't liars like scientists are. Besides, Godel told us we can't prove everything anyhow. No matter how much we assume...

2. The number 'two' exists whether or not we want it. We named it 'two' but that doesn't mean we created it.

In the gallery it's priceless. At the garage sale it's just some ad for Campbell's soup that someone framed. There's also the question of legal issues. If it looks authentic you might wonder why they aren't selling it to museum...
