On one board the admin only listened to the mods, which is EXTREMELY annoying. Besides, it is kinda fun to create your own board. Nah, these boards are kinda boring after a bit. I've been here longer than my member number lets on. I was also "Kagurati". I lost the password when I switched computers. I'm being much more picky with my mods and how they moderate. That should keep the problem of my last board from re-occuring. Umm... (thinks) These... 1) Its still new, which means it's still being constructed, which in turn, means that theres a better chance of getting things you like on it. 2) Its a smaller community. That means, less annoying posts. So you can leave for a day and not have to read through a hundred posts to catch up. 3) A large covering of areas. It's broad, which allows it to cover more areas and in turn, "cater" to more people so to speak. Do those help? -------------------- I am the swordsman that lets none escape! Yeh know, all you people are talking about how huge the Spiderweb boards are but if you think about it I bet that when these boards were originally made they weren't that big. I am setting modship... ive set boundaries for them... They can't do everything.... I'm limiting the number of forums a normal mod can choose to moderate. Not just that but im peying attention to what they do. Its a lot easier to clean up if one person screws up in a small radius than one if one person screws up in a large radius. Thats why I have several mods and only a few super mods. Moderating is a privilege and if i don't think someone is worthy than I can take it away from them. Hmm... How to respond to all the recent replies.. It's barely a Spid-web fansite. It has many sub-forum so it has something for everyone. Im not expecting everyone to post everywhere. I AM expecting people to post in the areas they know most about and/or are most comfortable with. Of course it doesn't have many members... its 6 days old... I am advertising elsewhere. There aren't many 0's now.... Give the forum time to grow. I trust the people I choose to moderate. And if they do something wrong I can check on them. I do have a log stating everything they do thats related to moderating. But I DO trust them. They don't have access to IP Addresses. Only I have access to IPs. I don't expect to find many people interested in everything. Thats why I have many areas. I expect people to stick to the area they know most about. It has 18 members. Its growing at a steady pace. .... The gem i believe is a runed stone... like the one you use to enter the temple or whatever in the first place... Im stuck cause i can't get into the library OR the control rooms. And i've tried the storage area just to find out i can't do anything until, this i figured out on own, i do something in the other part of the temple. Someone help.... How do i get in to the library? ok, Ive found all four of the runed stones, talked to the Vanati guys and found the instructions and i know i gotta get into the control rooms in the southern area of the tower basement....
