I'm sorry. You just hadn't been around for a while! I was so excited about you coming back to Desp, and then whoosh you vanished!

I will don the feathered velvet hat and elaborate cape of Djur one more time. I have a few things I have to take care of, anyway.

Oh, and David? Stop being a dick about this. Give it up.

I'm actually only -9.50, -10.00. Pity. I need a good slapping.

Think of it more as Desperance is a flashy disco where you can shout out at the ladies and gents with IMAGE(http://staff.desperance.net/mboeh/img/souteneur-tiny.gif) while TBH is a dark shed out in the middle of nowhere where your only company is two guys named Boris and a scrawny British 13-year-old's daily visits with the rubber catsuit and the whipped cream.

Personally, I loved So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish and Mostly Harmless. Actually, Mostly Harmless is awesome. Reading it gives you a vague feeling that everyone's making a mad dash, god knows where -- and then the end. Which I both hate and love.

Thank you, Kyna. You said what I was trying to, except that lovestruck teenagers aren't known for eloquence or patience. Especially at 3AM!

Even Birth has its dark side. *gestures towards the Beret topic* All children cannot be born gently and easily.

There's nothing wrong with it. If the real you is an overdramatic idiot, certainly do dress that way.

He didn't say anything about your intelligence.

He said you're whiny, fatuous, and immature. Or at least he should have.

Yeah, I know. It's like comic theater, only funny.

It's also like my life.

Anyway... no.

Rider, sweetheart, why do you insist on being utterly unreachable? No private messages? No AIM? No email?

*winks*

I'm not bad at computers, and I diagnose the problem in this case as being located somewhere between the keyboard and the chair.

Hey, I'd like a pound of dope, a dozen loose women, and a quart of good vodka right now, too. Doesn't mean I'm going to get it.

"sagot" is, literally, one who sags. "jagot" is what Alec said. "ragot" means you're a gerbil. *cough* "wagot" -- think the noun 'wag'. "lagot" is someone who lags in an online activity. "bagot" is either a loaf of French bread or one who engages in intercourse with sacks. "xagot" is a mysterious Alec word. And then there's the aggregation of timber.

Also, goodbye posts are bad mojo.

I never imagined I'd see the day that being around in the Lyceum's ITW days made you a furry-toothed veteran. What was that, 2 years ago? I still feel like a newbie.

What gets me is that I can remember when a goodly number of the people who posted in this thread first showed up. I am not a veteran... I am not a veteran... I haven't been posting in Spidweb boards since 2000... wow.

Anyway, the features I use most in the Desperance Forums, which use the Invision Board script, are Last Post and View New Posts. View New Posts is a bit CPU-intensive, being that it uses the search function, but that's my privilege, damnit!

INXP. Strong introvert, very strong intuitive, oscillating feeling/thinking, and insanely strong perceiving.

I am a very lazy, laid-back, unmotivated, and flighty individual, prone to bouts of cold logic as easily as bouts of emotional upheaval. I like people but not big groups of them. Etc. MBTI is like measuring the volume of a pool with a teaspoon. It's such an inferior device for dealing with the human psyche.
