Why do you hate when there is so much love in the world? Why can't you guys set down your differences and instead of yelling you can enjoy each others company? -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Yes, Cats is the All Your Base Are Belong To Us guy, click on the link at my quote and you can even see a little movie about it!!! If Picard and Kirk were both given phasers, I don't think they would fight each other at all if they could help it. They would set the phasers down, embrace each other, and... "the lion shall dwell with the gazelle, and the wolf shall lie with sheep, and there will be peace on earth" -Kate, from "the secret world of dogs and babies" episode on Arthur, which can be seen daily on public TV, and my God, I really am too old for the show but I still watch it, along with the occasional Mr. Rogers (for those of you who don't know, he is dead), Liberty's kids, which is becoming pretty stupid, and Cyberchase, which is getting pretty annoying as well. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

If you have the energy to whine and whine for your precious Avernum 4, then you will have more than enough energy to write Avernum 4, or wait for Blades of Avernum and make your epic-sized sequel then. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

I tried out Starbound II and there are differences between it and Galactic Core. SB2 has a lot of items you can build on the surface of a planet, but nothing really in orbit. In GC, you don't really "build" the items, you "buy" the items. Ship-to-ship combat is very much simplified in GC, and so is ship-to-planet. I don't really see that many similarities. All space faring games are going to have space stations, and different types of ships, and colony ships, and colonizers, and troops, and troop transports. The similarities I see are there because there are some things every space game has. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Another idea would be for the terrain to affect movement. So if you are in grasslands you can move fast but if you are in a mountainous area then you move much slower. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

I whole-heartedly agree. But I don't think the government cares about those who are on welfare- as long as they don't riot or rebel or anything. The government is giving a pathetic amount of money to pacify the welfare recepients. How can one live on a few hundred dollars a week? -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

I played Starbound II (SB2) and Galactic Core (GC). The difference between them is like the difference between a hunting rifle and an AK-47. SB2 is far, far better in its demo version than GC could ever be when it was regestered version. But maybe that has to do with personal taste. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Bill Clinton, Newt Gingritch, and Dan Quayle were all on a plane. It crashed, and Bill, Newt, and Dan escaped from the wreckage to discover themselves in the land of Oz. Quayle says "I'm going to go to the Wizard of Oz so I can get a brain". Gingritch says "I'm going to go to the Wizard of Oz so I can get a heart". Clinton says, "Where's Dorothy?" -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Hmmmm... good question. I am about five foot, near-black hair, and dark brown eyes. I seem hairier than most because my arm&leg hair show up against my skin. I look Iranian, and for those of you that are going "huh?" I look rather Arab. I also have this mustache. I have had it since the third grade or perhaps earlier and I am proud of it. -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Here's an oppurtunity to post jokes, funny pictures, etc., poking fun at Bush, Clinton, Saddam, whoever. It just needs to be political because these are "political" jokes. IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY THESE TYPES OF JOKES THEN DO NOT READ ON. I AM NOT ACTING IN ANY WAY TO SEND YOU THIS MATERIAL. YOU ARE COMING OF YOUR OWN FREE WILL AND ARE SUBJECT TO ANY CONSEQUENCES RESULTING FROM THAT CHOICE. The consequences will be laughter for the most of us, though. Let's start off with Bush: -------------------- All your base are belong to us!!!! http://people.cornell.edu/pages/slp29/ayb.html Posts: 138 | Registered: Saturday, April 12 2003 07:00 |

Darkwind, not everyone is Christian and not everyone is as devout as you are. It was meant as a joke (I think) and just let it slide. I always operate on the belief that they are just don't know any better. Somebody calls me a Muslim Suicide Bomber or whatever, I just let it slide because whoever said it is unable or unwilling to learn a teeny bit of knowledge, the knowledge being that Muslims detest violence (although that hasn't stopped many "religious leaders" from declaring war on people of their own religion). Nutshell: Don't get so ticked off when someone makes an off-color comment. EDIT: wouldn't it be nice if Palm Sunday meant getting free computers?
