Well, 'weon' is, originally, vulgar Chilean slang (although severely mispelled; it should be 'huevón')

However, nowadays, it has lost its meaning (due to the use and abuse of vulgar slang by the majority of the population), and now it's used for anything, practically.

"Oye weon, traeme las zapatillas!"
"Oye weon, te vamos a matar!"
"Hace tanto tiempo que no nos vemos, weon!"
"Aweonao!"

Etc. <.<

So it doesn't have a clear meaning in English, like many other Spanish slang stuff. It all depends on the context. ;)

I revived it. So what? I just HAD to emphasize how evil Dark Wyrms truly are. :D

Besides, interesting topics don't abound in these boards, so we might as well recycle old ones.

Well, that has happened quite a few times here. And all of them have been excellent, except for Carlos Ibáñez del Campo, who made the whole country enter a huge state of poverty.

But the rest, including my oh-so-dear-general-who-ordered-the-torture-and-persecution-of-many-people-including-my-own-dad-who-luckily-was-never-caught Augusto Pinochet (yeah, the CIA-backed coup? well, it had to be done, I guess...marxism was taking over and the economy was horrible), have done an excellent job in restoring the country. So, yeah, I'll be the next. As soon as our fragile monoexporting copper industry crumbles and collapses, I'll be there to lead my nation back to prosperity.

Yeah. I wish I was a politician. >.>

I don't understand. What is the problem people have with Richard White's games? I find them to be so exciting, so invigorating, so thrilling, so entertaining, so exhilarating. Why does it seem that nobody likes them?

<.<

Discuss.

I'd donate quite a bunch of millions to Spiderweb (hey, who wouldn't ;) ), I'd donate to charities, I'd donate some to organizations researching cures for cancer, AIDS and other currently-incurable diseases, I'd travel around the world, I'd give enough money to all my family members so that they can live happily until they die without having to work or anything (and nothing for my 'friends', for that matter; they tend to backstab me and other people when it's convenient for them, so I don't hold much proximity with them anymore), and...I think I'd travel to the Moon, then I'd come back and organize a coup and take hold of the Chilean Government, moment after which I'd lead the Chilean nation to ultimate prosperity and happiness.

Yeah, that's it. I don't want much. >_>

Truly, in A3 Dark Wyrms are totally evil. They're, IMO, the most formidable monster in the whole game (and they look good too).

Exactly.

But if it doesn't work, just try pushing around until you understand. :D

First off, there are 2 mirrors: the one in the center area, directly south of the device, and the one in the southwest corner.

For the center mirror, you don't have to move it north or south at all. Push it 3 spaces east from it's original position.

As for the southwest one, if I recall correctly, you need to move it north, then go around the beam and push the mirror out of the room. Then push it all the way to the room with the device through the broken wall, and align it so that it connects to the east with the device, and to the south with the beam. That way, you'll destroy the device.

The center beam is the one that matters. The southwest one isn't used to solve the puzzle, so don't worry about moving the mirror out of there.

And always keep an eye on your health. You might have to heal a few times.

After breaking the wall and getting close to the device, go back south, where the closest mirror is. Break it, and move it 3 spaces east. Then go to the southwest corner and move the mirror out of there, and push it all the way to the room with the device. Then align it with the device and push it into the beam, so that it is reflected and ultimately destroys the alien machinery.

You can only do this once you kill the Haunted Nephil 6 times, though.

Both of those possible reasons, I had thought about them. Seems my logic is working at last.

I prefer walking around by holding down the mouse button. The problem here is...

When I get adjacent to a friendly outdoor NPC (such as a band of guards patrolling a road, back and forth), I can't move by holding the mouse button anymore. I have to click one-at-a-time, or move using the keyboard, which I find pretty annoying. After I am not adjacent anymore, I can move with holding again. Is this supposed to be like that?

*EDIT: Fixed typo in 'road'.

Problem with outdoor signs. in Blades of Avernum

Windows XP. But it doesn't really matter if it's a cross-platform one. :P

Anyway, I hate it (the bug)! I'm disoriented the first time I play a scenario, and I don't know where all the cities and stuff are. And the bug doesn't help me much either. I hope they can fix it soon.

As for BoA, I love it. It's pretty nice, just like I was expecting. Not to mention that I never managed to beat the Valley of Dying Things scenario on BoE; yesterday, I did, on BoA. And it was a very impressive experience once I got out of the Administration into the cave, and realized I had never seen that before. Nor did I know the real cause of the curse.

I bought this game 2 days ago, and it rocks. :D

But, for some odd reason, I can't read any of the outdoor signs that appear in the scenarios that come with BoA (Valley of Dying Things, etc). Is this supposed to be like this, or could it be a bug? Thank you in advance.

Something strange with savegames happened to me on Geneforge. I completed a few quests, then I went to explore. I accidentally entered Diarazad (and I didn't save in the last few hours), so I made a quicksave as soon as I was inside. The game saves correctly. A stealth sholai kills me and my creations with 2 'searing orbs' spells. I loaded my quicksave and I appeared on Vakkiri, but all the quests I had completed before being killed were already finished! There *might* be some location bug or something with quicksaves.
