Guys, Undead Valley Testing Version 8.0 has been released to testers, and hopefully will be out soon, and Windows scenario makers will be one step closer to reaching the Mac-Made scenario numbers. Please do not come up with your annoying things about how bad it is. I'd make a preemptive "it sucks" comment, but I haven't played the last five versions. When the heck are you going to release the scenario? Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I see you lot are already discussing it's shortcomings. Eagle1, AOL seems to be having some problems with it's uploading systems at the moment, so unfortunately I can't let you try it right now. Hopefull the Testers will give it a go-ahead soon anyway. I mean, there can only be SO many bugs in it! :P -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! quote:lol. Anyways, I will try it if you want me to. It will probably just take time away from my warcraft and scenario design. Send it to RavageSoul@hotmail.com when and if you want. However, if you do send it, let me know on this board, I check it more often then my mail. Posts: 38 | Registered: Thursday, October 28 2004 07:00 |

If that were the only problem in "Archmagi" Micael's posts, I think we would accept that. Archmagi Micael, Well, where to start... the scenario seems ok, intersting and chalenging. If it wasn't for the sword, it might be impossible. My party is about at the 40th level and it is still challenging. The probelms short of a few typos so far are as follows and I have just gotten to the Tower. 1: Is there a shop anywhere to sell stuff found to get enough money to buy spell levels? Can't find one. 2: The Witch that you find to by alchemy recipes from, you only get the " You've found a hidden tunnel in the trees" if you go in 3 squares and then back out, otherwise you don't get it until you leave the witch. Also I have experienced and error message sometimes and then you don't have access to the Witch. I'll try to recreate the error message again to tell you exactly what it was. 3: When you defeat the skeletons in the Walled fortress and you wander around inside, if you go in the south east corner your party will pop back out in the middle of the two walls as you were outside again and then the scenario freezes up. 4: When you travel in the secret passage to go around the walls you travel around and when you try to climb back out the graphics do not let you climb up. you have to see it to understand what I am saying. It's like the tunnel is not finished. That is all for now, sorry if this is not descriptive enough but let me know if I need to further clarify things and I will let you know what else I find. I know that you put a lot of work into this  and it is fun, not the best but a decent scenario. Atleast it is another scenario for others to play even if it is not the quality that I guess others expect. Having just finished version 8.0, the major problems have for the most part been fixed. There are however numerous minor details throughout. The whole thing needs to be gone over for spelling and grammar. Especially the section with Rolar-Tel. There are some details that could be worked on-- item balance and distribution could be improved. It is a lot better. Also some things are slightly quirky. Efreeti are not Vahnati creations, etc. Other than that I think it has improved enough to be in the solid table. It took eight versions. The first try was kind of mind bogglingly bad. I think there are some sections which are both interesting and enjoyable. You'll have to play to see them. -------------------- Wasting your time and mine looking for a good laugh. quote:Solid Table?! Yeah, it'll make the solid tables...when Napoleon comes back from the dead and takes over the world, while proclaiming this board to be conservative. Seriously, I opened up the first town, and saw no difference in it whatsoever from when I first betatested the first version - the graphics are used very poorly, the priest is still roasting in the fire, and there are still thousands of other bugs that I do not care to list. I am predicting by the tenth version it will be releasable and rate about 3.1-- 3.2 after a lot of reviews-- it could be kicked off and be rated 2.8-3.0. What it needs now is to be gone over for grammar, minor graphical bugs like the priest in the fire, item imbalances-- the eight bows in the first tower, strange statements, etc. -------------------- Wasting your time and mine looking for a good laugh. I don't actually care what rating it gets - so long as it stays up there. There aren't that many problems, and RC, if you can't be bothered to go further than the first town, which hasn't had any GRAPHICAL changes since the first few versions, then don't play it, and keep your big trap shut! Kothie, I've emailed you the file - .ZIP format. Anyone else have any questions? And yes, Eagle1, I would prefer it if you explained a bit more, because I only understand half of what you've put down.
