This sort of thing is what the Geneforge forum was made for. General is for just that: General discussion. Not game help. It would also help if you specified what exactly you required help with. Salmon reminded Dryth'tor to be more welcoming and eloquent towards the newbies, in the short term allowing this forum to gain more active members, in the long term improving the atmosphere as well as demonstrating to Jeff the value of a friendly fan community, thus ensuring he will never feel tempted to permanently sacrifice it (or rather General) for disk space. It's a perfectly understandable mistake. Welcome to Spiderweb and don't forget to leave your sanity at the door. To everyone else, I'm very tempted to try to make the words newb, noob, n00b, Ed, argh*, and everything else associated with the ideas grounds for a day of ban. They don't need to be discussed, they don't add anything to discussion, and discussion of them should end quickly. —Alorael, who is not, of course, serious. Arbitrary censorship is wrong. He'd just like to reserve the right to have banned those who take their privilege of limited speech on Spiderweb's forums a little too seriously. It's not like E* and Ar************ were anything special, they were just prolific. This guy was around for one day, but he cracked me up. quote:"Drew" as far as I know, isn't a word. Does that make you a Noob? No. -------------------- "I must admit, killing mortals is much easier then killing demons. "Drew" is the past tense form of "draw." However, it's also a nickname for Andrew, which is my name. Unless your name is really "Referance," which is not a word or an actual name as far as I know or can determine with limited research on the internet, I will continue to believe that you merely misspelled "reference" in your PDN, which makes your somewhat condescending and snotty remark defining what a noob may be both ironic and hilarious. Can we not pick fights over possible typos, please? I've had misspelled words in my PDNs before. It's not necessarily a sign of orthographical failure. —Alorael, who had a method to his madness. In fact, he had a message in his madness, although nobody has yet picked up on any of his secret communications by PDN. And now he's wandered far off topic.
