I hate hot weather once it crosses 110 degrees. I broke a cheap thermometer in my car when it pegged at 140 degrees in the sun. After that my roommate wouldn't get in until the car was cooled down and ready to move.

What are you talking about? Lava is awesome (when it's not threatening to kill people or destroy property you care about, anyway). The way it flows, temperatures so high it forms a physical barrier, lava tubes and other formations after it cools, the word "pahoehoe"... what's not to like about those? :P

Don't forget aa! I love lava! Unless I'm in it with no protection. What's not to like about molten rock erupting out of a giant cone-like rock? Lava is awesome! It can burn things just by being close to it...and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP A VOLCANO! NOTHING, I TELL YOU! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

What's not to like about an unstoppable, lava-spewing, earthquake causing, naturally occurring death machine?

If it wasn't for the fact that you made a great story, I would absolutly hate you.
I will not hate you very much.
And lava is okay in Avernum games, but the game Metroid Prime made me realize how evil lava is.
And lava helps undead.
Edit- it is okay for anyone to like lava, no one should die for having an opinion

Undead can just walk through lava because they draw power from it. Besides, if an ocean bound disk can suck up water, why can't undead walk lava?
And the Spiderweb message world is a crazed up reality(beter than the real world).

Lava = extremely hot

extremely hot + flammable = ON FIRE!

Therefore zombie + lava = ON FIRE!

What fun.

What? I think you mean zombies were meant to go up in flames. How does their existing in Avernum relate to this? They exist in nearly every fantasy game. And in all that I've played, zombies were quite flammable. I don't see where you're getting the claim that they draw power from lava. If anything, they draw power from darkness and necromancy. Lava provides neither.

Let me type this clearer.
There are flaming zombies in the Avernum games.
And lava goes through everything, including darkness, so it enhances the darkness with undead able to draw even more power. And demons thrive in lava places.
