Skeletor from He-Man, of course!

I'm trying to come up with pictures of me that aren't the same damn ones that I've posted over and over again. I think this one may possibly be new, although it isn't good.

Actually, the full title is He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. If you had any part of your childhood memories in the 1980s and grew up in the US, you would likely remember it.

I still have no pictures from any time more recent than the last time that this particular thread was reincarnated. I might have to fix that, if only for the sake of my facebook account.

I finally had the chance to make some new pics of myself, using the built-in Isight camerea of my new computer. Here they are:

Me when I'm not posing (except for ther smile - without a smile I will look fat too depressed).

Sorry for stealing that idea, Thuryl.

My old pictures are still valid, I've only gotten a haircut since then. In the meantime, I bring you this:

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... wait. It is a bird.

Oh, and Aran: You really need to get a better camera. Your chin is especially fuzzy in both of those pictures.

The fuziness is due to not shaving in recent times.

The most recent one of me, taken on the 8th(?) of February this year.

Oh, and this is a couple of days older than the one above.

Good god, another gender revelation. There has yet to be a single photo thread without one (in my time anyway). And what is more, a revelation that wasn't even noticed until it was pointed out. o_O

--

I think the unbelievably unbalanced ratio may be partly caused by the widespread assumption that anyone you don't know to be female must be male. The ratio would be still unequal, but somewhat less extremely so...

To test this, I guess it's time for another poll.

Well, to be fair, Thin Air's picture revealed no facial features or other discriminating curves whatsoever.

On the same note:

Should this be taken as a hint of your gender? How about a picture of you lurking in the shadowy corner of your room?

Well, I call Aran cute all the time, and I'm a guy. A heterosexual guy. One can never tell with things like this.

Everyone's gay for Thuryl. It's a scientifically established fact. You wouldn't argue with science, would you?

Having said that, I'm really much more interested in praise and adulation from women, preferably living in or near Melbourne, Australia. Being admired from afar is only fun until you come to expect it.

If "science" were to get me very drunk, and offer to publish a book fo me, then no, I wouldn't argue. As it is, I'd have a good go at disproving the "established fact".

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

This is quite true, and I don't object to being mistaken for a guy on the basis of that photo (or the one in my profile, which is just as unclear). In those picures I could plausibly be a 14/15 year old guy, when in fact I'm a 23 year old girl. I should get a part in Shakespeare.

That said, I do object to the trend that Aran pointed out: that everyone is male by default unless stated otherwise.

Me without my glasses on.

Last photo thread's revelation was Dikiyoba.

And also, Thin Air, your hair is short.

I think the trend of "assume everyone's a guy" is because of the misconception that gamers are guys.

EDIT: I was replying to Thuryl. Not Nikki. Curse simultaneous posts.

EDIT2: Though I suppose I could be replying to Thuryl and Nikki at the same time.

Redstart : I'm pretty sure I already wrote about my gender (or sex, whatever) and sexual orientation (or lack thereof) in a census topic. Once is more than enough. :P

As for a picture of me lurking 'in the shadowy corner of my room'... Why not, but I probably won't be able to get one for this topic. I may have it ready for the next photo thread.

No, you may not see the new photos of me fighting over a foam baseball bat with a friend at a wedding. If you want to see the old picture of me hiding behind a table, you're going to have to hunt it down in the old threads because I don't feel like it right now. And I am not cute!
