I didn't know presents were a common occurance on Easter ... besides chocolate (of course). I often enjoy going to Easter church services with good choirs and music. -------------------- DONOR Fat Freddys Drop Shirow Miwa Posts: 1112 | Registered: Friday, July 19 2002 07:00 |

If I got presents in Easter, certainly that would be important. But chocolate is good, too. Posts: 587 | Registered: Tuesday, April 1 2003 08:00 |

I used to like finding the Easter eggs most of all, and the candy at the end of the search was a nice bonus. Unless you count the Easter basket I've never heard of getting presents on Easter. Happy Easter! Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I get presents on Easter, but not nearly as many as...say, birthdays or Christmas. This year I only got one. Not that I wanted anything else, though. There's plenty of chocolate ;) Unfortunately, I have work to do this Easter. :( And Happy Easter to everyone! (At least everyone who celebrates it, that is...) Unfortunately, I have to vote number four. It's really what we're celebrating that counts... quote:Babelfish came up with: "Merry germanic Productivity Festival!". Assuming you were not writing in a language that superficially looks like german, shouldn't the word have been "fröhliches"? I find it interesting that the religious aspect of Easter wasn't mentioned. I also find it interesting that this poll assumed that everyone either is Christian or celebrates Easter. That said, number 4 for the win. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. I don't speak German, but I suspect whatever TM said had to do with some sort of religion. -------------------- quote: Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |

I feel horrible. I should've at least gone to church. I almost did, but then I thought if I went today (my friend offered to take me) then she would start inviting me every Sunday and that's just something that will NOT happen. Besides, I already sacrificed my soul to the never ending fire. On the other hand, I never heard of chocolates and the Easter Bunny until I came to the United States, and I'm still confused as to why it exits. However, I would never refuse eating chocolate. Good thing that my mom’s bf celebrates just about anything, so I got two chocolate packages today Woo Hoo Edit: I, too, party with Wikipedia. You don't need a reason for chocolate, or for bunnies either. The mere fact that they are there is quite enough. I've not gone to church on Easter for years, though. I could have hiked up to the Unitarian church here, as they seem non-scary, but I would feel weird just wandering into a church where I don't know anybody.
