Over in the Avernum 4 forum Jeff has taken the time to let us know when the secondary release of Avernum 4 may take place. He made the mistake of preparing some excuses if it doesn't happen. I wonder which excuse the community feels most comfortable with accepting. Edit- So, sick leave, vacation time, bereavement leave, paternity leave, or gravity clause. Jeff won't be late. The March release time will just arrive mysteriously early. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

I suppose A4 for Windows will come out when it comes out. Maybe Jeff is dreaming up his next project. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I find I do well if I "forget" the scheduled release dates, tentative as they are. Then it's a (semi-)surprise when there's a new game out. Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

I say he will commit honorable seppuko once he realizes he won't be done in time. Or, for those who like A4 less, once he realizes what he is inflicting on the poor, already stricken Windows users. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. A mudslide means no home and probably no computer, so no. the hospital will mean he may need an operation, at which he dies under suspicious circumstances. His spawn. I hate such excuses. What was the fourth again? The flu seems most reasonable, as he will hopefully recover in time, so he won't have to go to the hospital and die at an operation. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Actually, Jeff mentioned "untimely death." He didn't specify whose. This is the man behind the Scorched Earth Party. Draw your own conclusions. —Alorael, who humbly submits that Jeff is less likely to touch a keyboard when his hands are sticky red messes of half-coagulated blood from heretics, infidels, and irritants. For a mudslide Jeff would require a house in the vicinity of actual mud. Nonetheless, I voted for that option. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

This one does not have a nonsense option. Does nonsensical totality trump nonsensical specifics? —Alorael, who believes a degree of distinction must be drawn between lack of sanity and insanity. He'll develop this line of thought further someday. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I voted spawn, because the word "spawn" was used. That, and spawn tend to get in the way with their squealing, constant grabbing and guilt-tripping. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go?
