Sorry, can't hang around... I was just on another forum, and we were discussing how three senior members there would not run around in circles for three days looking for something that could be easily found in the documentation, unless perhaps they were on Skribbane. Which begged the question from one of my fellow forumers there, of course: What's Skribbane? Which prompted me to seek a concise explanation that would still convey all the nuances of word usage in a forum context. Which led me, eventually, to the discovery that Skribbane has no Wikipedia article! Just thought that I'd bring this issue to the attention of the proper authorities, i.e. the Spiderweb board. His obscene post count has spawned automatic Scribbane posts, which simply appear on the board and whose authors really do not exist. I am sure that I saw a wiki (not necessarily Wikipedia) article on Scribbane somewhere, though. I might have to scrounge for it. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. quote:You really don't know?? Well, basically it's a drug like the weed, it appears in Avernum 3 if you hadn't played it wich would be sad. Some people really like it, but I don't, not for the fact that is drug, just because i don't think it's that good. In the game is like the energetic herbs I think and it heals and blesses you when you use it if I recall correctly.BUT! It can be very addictive!! Of course I have never seen how some people in a game can be addicted to something, in fact I asked that once but I forgot the answer... You clearly are a noob, no offense, everyone pass through that. Any other question?? Maybe who is Erika Redmark?? The last thing, you seem to be a very reclusive person, you don't allow ratings and you don't say anything about you in your profile... Hey it's just an observation!! I'm not a bad man!!! But you have to recognize that what I have said is totally right. Maybe Im telling this because I was a noob like him once...But having passed through that I have won the right to annoy other people. Posts: 446 | Registered: Friday, July 22 2005 07:00 |

Idea:Maybe the forums should apply an admission test for try the knowledge of the people about Spiderweb software, it would be discriminative, incredibly annoying and very stupid but it would still be fun, maybe the prize should be a custom title or something. We're all forgetting the really important question here: what's a skrib, and why is skribbane a bane to them? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

That's irrevelant. Octavo, skribbane is a exillucinogen that's getting quite rare nowdays. Alorael uses it all the time. It helps him with his sniping. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

The skribs were a happy, harmless people who frolicked among the hills and dales until they started chewing on a certain plant. Then juvenile crime set in, graduation rates dropped, and before long the entire species was extinct. Some historians now claim that skribbane was introduced to the skribs' territory in a deliberate genocidal effort by the Empire, but the Empire denies it vigorously in such a way that usually leaves those historians in no condition to argue. —Alorael, who would have made the skribbane article if there were a category for fictitious drugs. Thanks, all! I agree, it would probably be an insignificant point of fantrivia to the vast majority of Wikipedia users, so I shall have to content myself with redirecting my board compatriots here. Well, Wiki has articles on Star Trek and lesser known games, so why don't we add articles about Spidweb and it's games? The point of it was to be a definative source about everything that ever was, so why not make articles on the games and the more detailed things? -------------------- -Sylak Proud Member of the Church of Devine Luchere Way too many lifeforms are carbon-based. quote:There are already a series of entries about Spiderweb Software and the games it produces that can be found here. A specific entry for something like skribbane would not be allowed because such things are considered fancruft, meaning that they do not arouse interest to anyone other than fans of Spiderweb and has no place in a general encyclopedia. That said, I would like to point out how awesome the use of skribbane is. I can quit anytime I want! I just don't want to.
