It strikes me that it might be wiser to list voters by member number.

Are we still on election campaign or has the voting season started by now?

I made it onto the first list, but missed the second one. Mind counting me in?

Edit: Rephrased - I registered but "cryptically".

Umm ... Thuryl, Fifty-Fifty is 5050 and I am 1993.
Maybe it would be good to list voters by IP address :P

It's not just people who registered "cryptically" that missed the second list. (I also made the first list.) "I will vote" is awfully similar to "I'm voting."

I wasn't referring to your situation in particular, just pointing out that people can and will change their names.

Computer problems + graduation parties = uninformed candidate. Is there an official official election topic? Is this it? Why am I getting nothing out of it, and when is the primary vote?

Well, the thread that you're looking for is probably this one. It contains most of the campaign speeches, and most of the relevant election banter.

The elections ought to take place soon. I feel as though this whole thing is losing steam, and losing the attention of the board community as well.

Does TM lose his vote/candidacy?

Soon. A couple of days, most likely. In the meantime, you can amuse yourself with this thread.

EDIT: I see you have. All others are welcome, of course.

I don't feel that he should. The same applies to TGM's vote. Longstanding members of the community should be allowed their voice, even in light of their recent miscues.

One could just as easily say that they should know better since they've been here this long...

TM has been compromised. Thus he should step down.

I don't know about voting, but TM should remain a candidate. I believe in the "people deserve the government they elect" principle. If TM manages to get elected, the members here deserve everything his moderation will bring.

Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword,
For it too has the power to kill.
However well placed word, unlike a well placed sword,
Can also have the power to heal.
