Steroids are taken for lasting effect and have no addictive properties. Skribbane is taken for instantaneous effect and is highly addictive.

—Alorael, who sees skribbane as a logical extrapolation of the current trend in coffees. Super stimulants that incidentally turn you into a drooling zombie are just what this busy world demands.

Actually, some steroids, unless I am mistaken, are addictive.

Skribbane sounded more like PCP or Ecstasy than anything else. It's both a strong stimulant and a mild hallucinogen, so maybe PCP, since E is the other way around.
It would be more like a marijuana equvalnat with the effetcs of them two drugs combined.

Also, Alo, you got your wish. :P

I stand corrected. Maybe I'd better cut back on my steroid use.

—Alorael, who will have to up his skribbane dosage to compensate.

More intereting yes, more complicated to write, yes. I just type in a lot of 1's and 0's and hope for the best.

I've always seen it as 100 101 100 1000, but copy and paste would be simpler.

Edit: Oops, shows I'm not paying much attention.

Or you can just click that quote button on the far right of all those buttons on top of everyone's post, in which case it will write in for you.

I find it much more interesting than plain 4808, but I never care if it's completely correct in your quotes. Never notice.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I already said that part. Oh well. ^^

Sure, you might not care; but what about the dozens of new members who may follow your example and choose long random-looking bitstrings as monikers? What if some of them turn out to be extremely touchy about being confused with each other or with you? And then where would we be? Up that well known tributary, I believe!

So.

And then there are people like me, the ones who only post when they have something to say -- and then it takes a lot, like a topic like this for me to do it.

Congratulations Ben on that grand milestone in your life. Now you can quit school and retire and live under a bridge. Life will never get sweeter than this.

I hope to be around for your 10000 post. And beyond.

Cheers!

So do I, but Alorael's will be in the near future (perhaps at about December maybe?) so I'll look forward to that with greater anticipation.

Wiz is too correct... omfuhguh.

Ben: at least write 4808 in hex, or better yet, trinary(base 3). God.

"Ternary" is preferred, but both "ternary" and "trinary" are correct. "Tertiary" is also occasionally used.

Congratulations, everyone - we've survived through 1000 of Ben's posts.

EDIT: When does school start again in Montana? The winter was such a wonderful reprieve.

But a computer only recognizes trues and falses. :P

I have to keep to my tradition, though, of changing my moniker only once every 150 posts. The next one will be shorter, though, promise.
