The reasons I haven't been here in so long: Job-hunting. Moving from one place to the other, repeatedly, to avoid a long commute every morning. Going out of town. Computer problems. Busy busy busy... I'm still alive, still here, just haven't had time to post until today. I made this thread because everyone seems to think I've vanished from the board and the face of the earth as well. -------------------- AIM/Yahoo IM: Cavanoskus Scary artwork and Bad Poetry The Wildlife Research Team SnakeNetMetalRadio "We, who are about to die, salute you." Having looked through four or five topics now where BSC has posted, I must ask the following: Are you under the influence of mind-altering substances? If not, why not? Are you someone who has assassinated the real BSC and has assumed identity (certain phrases are different, also missing out the usual "Cheers!")? What the FF are you talking about with "quantum singularities" and so on? Oh well. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Good to see you're still around, Cav. FBM: singularity = black hole, for most purposes. Also BSC's native language is Spanish, so we should allow for slightly looser use of English from him than from, say, Brits or Americans or Aussies. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Hello! FBM, same BSC, I think. What I meant about quantum singularities was something like this: Sometimes life seems to pull you without you wanting to and you seem to lose control over it. Also, you seem to lose perspective of things, kind of the same way as if you were trapped in a black hole. Time and space lose meaning. Perspective and point of view become the norm (drastically). Also depending on where you are in the b.h. time may lose its essence so it seems like you are trapped in a moment. So in this very forced context I was wishing Cav that the b.h´s of life worked in her favor: that her moments in life seemed eternal in the best possible way, that when she was trapped in a moment it was the best, or that when she was in a situation that seemed to be pulling her without her wanting to she could escape it before it swallowed her (or vice-versa that she was pulled by good things) and so on. That´s kind of what I meant. Pick any quantum singularity you want and apply it to real life in the best way possible, that was my wish. Cheers! Not only that, BSC has mastered the principles of cheerfulness and friendliness. Despite numerous lessons, FBM still hasn't quite grasped those two skills yet. It is, perhaps —Alorael, who also has almost never seen someone accused of being someone else not because of resemblance to another Spidwebber but for lack of complete consistency. BSC, you have set a new record! Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Cav is back? Gosh, I'd feared Spiderweb had lost you forever! You're probably the only member ever to receive a warm welcome upon returning from a three week absence after only 24 posts! :D Meh. Job-hunting. I'm hunting for an internship right now, but I just couldn't get myself to abandon Spiderweb. It's addictive (you'll find out). Oh, and don't listen to anything anyone might tell you about leaving your sanity at the door. Hold on to it as long as you can; you'll need it. :) [ Saturday, June 26, 2004 09:51: Message edited by: Arancaytar ] -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. Kel, I am perfectly aware of what a singularity is. Aswell as a great multitude of other spacial phenomena. And Alorael, I would try to be friendly, but that really wouldn't be fun, this is the only place where I can actually get people to really dis-like me. It's not easy to do that. As for cheerful, I am. Permanantly merry. Just choosin' not to show it. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

No I just have a real difficulty with not being a really nice person to everyone I know. Not everyone likes me, but I can't find a single person who dislikes me. Here I can be as arrogant, stupid and downright sarcastic as I like without any problems with my personality. :D :D EDIT: Also I'm am currently very happy. I am sitting on the swivel chair I just built, drinking milk through a straw and swivelling. :) [ Monday, June 28, 2004 04:59: Message edited by: FatBatMonkey ] Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I seem to recall that Cav's other topic faced an assault of teabagging, so this is actually not as bad as it could be. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. quote:Yes, it would seem so. Might have been the photos - it's not every day the geeky computer junkies here get to see pictures of sword-wielding girls. :P Then again, it could be because you mentioned an affinity to roleplaying in your first post. Spiderweb is (in?)famous for its play-by-post roleplays, and for the roleplaying skill (or lack thereof?) of many of its members. We like to RP, and it's rare that any new member immediately mentions they share such a liking, so people are liable to jump on it. To put it bluntly, we're all dying to see you roleplaying... :) -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast.
