Greetings,

I was wondering what you guys listened to whilst playing BoA, you know to get that fantasy feel, or whatever feel you try to achieve?

Thanks,
Total Flappish

Well, anything by Paul van Dyk (But specificly the album Out There and Back) is a good electronic feel, but not too spacey too diminish the fantasy setting of the game. I'd also reccomend Bond, which is a great neoclassical group.

Edit: I think we've had topics like this before....

I usually don't listen to any music while playing computer games. I think it kind of interferes with the sound effects, and makes both the song and the game music sound bad.

My music of choice while playing ANY of the SW games would be Finnish hip-hop. Try sometime, it works!

I don't listen to anything in particular to "add to the mood," just what I like at the time, which currently is OK Computer (which I keep coming back to) and The Shins.

This explains a lot.

I've never created a separate playlist for anything. My playlist, itself, is an odd mix of romantic-orchestral and random crap. I've got pretty much everything from J-pop to rap floating around in there, and I tend to like most of it.

Fantasy-themed metal. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Manowar are all good. I just put on the untitled Zeppelin album (also known as IV or Runes) and let it go.

Playing BoE, I listened to the music that I had most recently gotten ahold of, which happened to be Duran Duran and the Beatles, so now whenever I see BoE floors, I hear "Rio" and "Eleanor Rigby" and the like playing through my head. This increases my dementia, not my mood, so I have decided to avoid that for BoA.

I should NOT post at 3 am.

Finnish Hip-hop?! Tristrana, for the sake of your sanity, I hope you're not serious.

I like to listen to themes of old westerns when I'm playing blades or other spidweb games. Metroid Prime soundtrack is also good.

Mmh. I never listen to music while I'm playing a game, only when I'm working. IMAGE(tongue00.gif)

I've got just one big playlist for everything, too. There are even some things in it which I don't like at all but could never bother to remove, so I just skip to the next if they come up. IMAGE(biggrin0.gif)

My iTunes playlist is also on random when I play BoE or whatever game (or application). 1000 songs can't be all bad.

tGM, seeing that bit of Finnish hip-hop you posted on Desp, I'd be right to insult you. IMAGE(tongue00.gif)

...well, except that American hip-hop music can be just as bad.

Music that does not contain any type of voice.

Mostly MIDI on my playlist, a few MP3s and OGGs though.

Thank you, Saunders, milady, but no thanks. I have no intentions in involving in sexual action with animals. Don't know if it's common there, but not 'round here, I can assure you. Arctic is *just an exception*, and it's not his fault that drunk men like to abuse him.

Also, is Messiah the *real* Scorp, or just someone with the word 'scorp' in his/her e-mail? From the profile info, I'd say tbe real one.

I don't listen to any music while I play BoA. I like to hear the game's background noises and sound effects clearly as I play ? it helps establish the mood, and further adds to the illusion of actually being there.
