Oh god, it's horrible. Never, ever watch it.

That's the oldest movie I've ever seen. The oldest GOOD movie that I've seen would have to be a Melies short.

Good lord the movie is boring... it's pretty, certainly, but it's so boring. Like ten minutes of dialog in a 2.5 hour movie. BAD.

But the books are good, you say?

If your definition of a good movie is that it has dialogue, go see a freaking play.

Besides, Jeff usually gets his windows port done in quite a timely manner. I wouldn't worry, mr. Pc-user.

This is my saved game, btw... Feel free to take a look and try to figure out what's gone wrong as I played through Canopy...

Now I have a brand new problem - in canopy, I've defeated the dark idol, and I've completely scoured the place for those sun things, and I've only ended up with eight total... I've gone to every single location, and it's just dead ends... I got the dark idol, the mage quarters, the ones in the village... the only thing I think I might be missing is one in the southeast caves, but again I've completely searched the area, far sight, etc. but I can't find the missing ninth one...

smoo - if I can't work around it somehow, I'll do that. As for now, I've just started working on Canopy, and am shocked at how good it is. It's an inspiration.

So I go to bearworth and inquire about the goblin amulet, and he tells me to follow him, and then I get this error which says something about a skill too high and to reset in character editor or somesuch nonesense... the short of it is that I can't follow him. Indeed, only one of my characters walks, and the other three stay where they are, which is really quite bizarre.

Diplomacy With the Dead help in Blades of Avernum

Quick question on diplomacy with the dead - I've defeated the vampire for the second time, and have now fully explored the main level in his castle, but I can't find where my next encounter with him is. How do I get below the first floor? I see the door leading down, but I can't unlock it, either through strength of power, tool use or magic.

Is there a key I need to find?

I didn't notice too many spelling errors, but then I sort of glossed over the dialogue in my rush to finish the demo.

I am debating whether or not it's worth buying. With Avernum 1, and 2, it felt like there was alot I was missing out on in the demo that I could get in the full game, whereas here, I'm just not that excited to see the rest of geneforge. I think that part of it is I wish the world design where a bit more creative. Here, it's basically just forests, towns, swamps, all of them a bit generic. With the avernum series, it stood out because of the caves.

I really liked the creator level, with that wonderful use of red lighting. Spooky.
