Right now Jeff is writing Geneforge 5 for release on Macs in November/December.

Honestly, with all the licensing fees involved a console release sounds like a terrible idea.

I like Avernum 4. I'll play the demo a while longer and then probably buy it. But I miss the feel of the Exile games. Graphically, I loved them far more than Avernum's appearance. Except the little images for skills and stats in Avernum. I love those.

Great game, guys. I've been looking forward to it for a while. Just wanted to say thanks for all the years of enjoyment I've had from this site. I guess I also wanted to make a post to make sure my account was still active. :)

Might I suggest phrenology for the next one. You can't go wrong predicting people's actions from the shape of their skull. That's solid science, baby!

My real strange way of explaining my orientation: I am a lesbian trapped in a mans body. Some random crap I made up on the spot a few weeks ago.

Allow me to assure you that as a man you are in no way shape or form a lesbian. There's a lot more to it than liking girls. ;)

I only skimmed through the posts above, but is there anything more than wishful thinking concerning the BOA editor being open source? I could have sworn that this topic came up for BOE and Jeff said he would never make the editor open source.

I am glad to use a Mac for 2 reasons.
A - It is obviously better, not to mention windows wouldn't be as far as it was today if it wasn't for Macintosh inventing the technology and windows stealing it. IMAGE(Blaster worm!_files/biggrin.gif)
B - Very few viruses are written for Macs.

I'm a linux fan through and through though I use a mac, windows, linux, and SunSoftOS.

Let me says this. I good number of the technology Microsoft stole from Mac was first stolen by Mac from Xerox...poor bastards not only found a goldmine and let it go but then they did it about three more times...

As for the Mac vs Windows debate, I won't get involved although the Mac's G5 is the world's fastest PC.

The Blaster worm attacks Windows update probably to make room for a much more destructive virus. Although it's just as likely that it's just an attack on "Gates" if you will.

For those of you who think this worm caught MS with it's pants down, it didn't. It caught you guys with yoiur pants down. MS has had the security patch that fixes this up for months...

EDIT: Don't use Red Hat Linux! The only thing worse than someone who charges an insane amount of money for a product that should be free is someone who charges an insane amount and then claims it's for a really big book!

Ikari is right. The Church decided to force celibacy upon its priests because they were having to give too much land to priest's sons.

You really out to think about how well you scenario will relate to other scenarios. Not just how well people bringing parties into your will work but also how well parties from your scenario will work in others. Remember the scenario community is just that...a community. On the other hand, if a player wants to go into Gargoyles' scenario, get the overpowered items, then cheat at someone else's scenario, it's the players fault, not either scenario designer.

The SDF were not complicated in and of themselves, they simply were implimented in a very difficult way. Notepad people, notepad. Always take notes when doing Stuff Done Flags, don't forget to write down a single one! Fortunatly in BoA things'll be a bit easier.

It's been a while since I did any HTML but don't HTML tags use < and >?
The board won't let me input examples.
However the tags for the ubb code use ] and [ so maybe you can't use them any way.
