The theme music for Nethergate is really good :) , is it a short version of another song, or did Jeff(and his assistants) write it himself? If it's a short version of a song, please post a link to it a.s.a.p. Oh-will there be a nethergate2? Will it be like, Fight in the south or north? South- Choose (insert race here) or romans North- choose (insert race here) or celts [ Saturday, May 03, 2003 17:10: Message edited by: Zephyr Tempest, The Mindwarper ] -------------------- -Zephyr Tempest, your personal entertainer Posts: 1779 | Registered: Monday, December 9 2002 08:00 |

As far as I know, all the intro music for Spiderweb's games is made for those games by hired artists, probably freelance. —Alorael, who hasn't seen any reference by Jeff to any potential sequel to Nethergate. It's a shame. Despite its small size, Nethergate is an interesting concept and well-made game. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I've got an idea for a sequal to Nethergate. Choose 2 different kinds of faeries(like sprites, which are kinda like celts, and fomorians, which are kinda like romans.). If this happens, and by my idea, just put my name in the credits. -------------------- -Zephyr Tempest, your personal entertainer Posts: 1779 | Registered: Monday, December 9 2002 08:00 |

I don't think Jeffs watches the boards enough to see that, and he might be perversely disposed to go against suggestions just to be original. I've known other people who do that. —Alorael, who doesn't think that would work as a sequel anyway. A Nethergate 2 as a prequel might work, but the end of Nethergate does preclude any further faerie-involving adventures. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

What I want to know is Why can't you go through the portal? That would instantly make a sequel. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

The ending of Nethergate does not preclude playing as fairies. They all went back in time through the Nether Gate, so now they need to establish themselves in this place. Remember that the Romans disrupted the Gate to some extent, so the fairies were not sent to the place they had prepared for themselves. They would have to set up their culture anew. Perhaps you could play as a mix of fairy creatures. For example, your mission is to unite fairies in the new world and find a home for each of the major fairy types. Your party would include one fairy man or woman, one formorian, one GIFT (maybe a friendly areana so it can cast spells), and one witch. All of these would have to explore the world together and find places where each group could settle, which is why you would need an envoy from each race as a party member. The dangers in exploring a new world should be obvious. Maybe you could even hire on a local intelligent creature or take a local familiar for the witch so you can know the new world's dangers. Could someone who knows Jeff better than I do please email him a copy of this post? If it is used, I am not interested in being recognized for this idea. I just want to get another great Spiderweb game out. -------------------- H-E-L-P. I think my alphabet soup is trying to tell me something. Posts: 87 | Registered: Sunday, April 13 2003 07:00 |

Who is Shy Guy? If you mean Jeff, then you're confused. Jeff uses the Spidweb account here. —Alorael, who supposes there are other Jeffs on Spiderweb, but the Jeff who immediately comes to mind is Jeff Vogel, who is not Shy Guy. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Thinking?.... Hmmmmmm....... Thinking?...... I actually just wanted to tell everyone that Jeff thinks it isn't worth it to make a sequel to Nethergate; it wasn't very popular. -------------------- H-E-L-P.
