What is the canister usage limit before you are considered corrupted? -------------------- Preparedness, inventiveness, and quick reflexes are the keys to survival. Posts: 17 | Registered: Thursday, January 10 2008 08:00 |

Welcome to Spiderware Software, please leave your sanity at the door. Canister limit increases as you progress in Geneforge 4. Near the start of the game 5 is a good limit, but near the last parts it rises to about 12 before canister madness forces you to attack those stupid things that question your superior abilities. Or, rephrased, 5 canisters will leave you mildly corrupted--some people can tell you've been using them and you will have some unavoidable hostile enounters. 12 canisters will leave you strongly corrupted--you will have more hostile enounters and will get different endings. And if for some reason you need a "cheat" to remove the effects of your canister usage, press shift-D and type in "sdf 100 4 0" minus the quotes. -------------------- Don't judge a sentence until you know all the words. quote:Hey Iffy, That's a good thing to know. It can really change the outcome if you zero out bad cannister effects and still keep the good ones. Do you, or anyone who sees this, know a similar "cheat" that can be typed in this way that will allow you to change to the lower or upper world maps? I've searched the forum and read the scripts for the eastern and western rises and had no luck finding the right sdf xxx x x or whatever. I've found change_world_map(0) and (1) but no joy. :( Thanks. -------------------- Aide: (tugging at General's pant leg from ground..) "Sir! Please get down!" General: "What!?! quote:I don't think that's stored in an SDF. You'd have to edit the zone script for every zone in which you wanted changing maps to be possible, which seems like more effort than just walking across the Eastern or Western Rise every time. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! For canisters, being a loyalist sucks, simply because you cant make any super creations without using a canister, and you cant make drayks/Drakons. -------------------- Vivan los Drayks! Viva Khyryk! You can still use some canisters, thus enabling the creation of drayks, drakons, whatever you like to a certain extent. That's the whole point of this topic. Interestingly enough, drayks are available to loyalists before anyone else in G2. From a trainer, of course. :D -------------------- Love is the movement. ---- My poetry Posts: 432 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2007 07:00 |

Yes, I found that to be rather interesting, considering that the creation in question is Barred. FYI: I'm probably not your FAQ-desperate, run-of-the-mill newb. I've beaten all of the games with the exception of G2. The technical details are generally all I want to know. -------------------- Preparedness, inventiveness, and quick reflexes are the keys to survival.
