Advance levels. Get them skill points (2 per lev). Click on the Character Info button by their picture in the party list. Put skill points onto the four internet.

EDIT: On level 7, I got Alwan to do 78 damage and he does over 70 regulary.

No, I mean it says that you can meet someone or do something to get their attacks improved

Semi-Spoiler --- About 1/3 way through game

Yes, talk to people in and around Dhonal's keep. I did not notice much improvement with Alwan (the one who stayed with me), but then again, he has more staying power than my creations and when he dies, I am next.

I only ever had to go back to get him after the first isle once.

Alwan and Greta get improvement in Dhonal Keep and on Gull Island from Khyryk.

What stat should I raise so that Greta can cause more damage with her fire attack?

Greta was quite useless at the beginning, but after gaining several levels and receiving additional training on Dhonal's Island, she now packs more of a punch than my wimpy non-combatant agent.

Money.

So neither intelligence nor strength affects that?

I don't believe so. Maybe intelligence does, but strength doesn't. Fire attacks aren't physical, in case you never realized that.

keep in mind that Greta's strength, dexterity, intelligence, and endurance don't work the same way as your PC. They work the same way as your other creations.

For your PC, strength affects how much you can carry and how much damage your physical attacks do. However, for a creation or NPC, strength improves the damage done by ALL attacks.

Click on the stats on Greta's stat screen and read the descriptions on the bottom for confirmation.

Does anyone else have this issue. I try to improve Greta's attack at Khyryk, and it doesn't work. At least I don't lose the gold. Still, I would prefer to upgrade her.

Hm. I'm lovin' the Searer upgrade for Greta at the SE corner of Dhonal's Keep, but where's the trainer for Alwan (it's not Guardian Koerner, is it?)? Thanks in advance to whoever can fill me in!

The trainer for Alwan is Sciolino, who is at the northern end of the Inner Keep. Sciolino charges 800 gold for the service, but if you have 7 or more in leadership and are on at least Lord Rahul's second quest, you can have it done for free.

Note:

You can get an improved blade for Alwan by visiting Shaper Jolana (in the SE corner) at the Breeding Caverns at Gull Island for 4000 coins, or 2000 coins with sufficient Leadership.

Is anyone else more than a little annoyed by the searer upgrade for Greta? Sure, I like spreading acid around as much as the next battle-hungry Agent, but this is really messing up my strategy. I've been enjoying the hit-n-daze approach so far, but the lingering effects of Greta's searer blasts keeps this from being completely successful...
