After being kidnapped by the hobgoblins, I fight the huge room by the exit. After finishing, I am automatically killed. Is this the way the scenario is supposed to end? -------------------- Do not underestimate the power of the mechanical pencil. Join the Dark side. We have cookies. Huh. That's odd. Did you rescue your comrades first? If not, you probably need to go do that before fighting the hobgoblins. -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! No, that's not the end. The exit fight is timed, so you'll be killed if you take too long to win the fight and escape. Do you have a saved game that would allow you to retry that fight? Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

You may consider running through the fight, if that is possible. Timing is crucial in this scenario. -------------------- WWtNSD? Synergy - "I don't get it." Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

You can't skip the fight, but you certainly should rush as fast as possible. When all the goblins are dead, don't leave combat mode to get to the exit. If you do you'll almost certainly run out of time before you get there. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? *Raises hand* :P Just to broaden the topic a little, here's a poll I gave to my beta testers. I had been meaning to post it at spiderweb, but hadn't gotten around to it until now for some reason. 1. Have you found Orrin's Broadsword? 2. Have you found the Defender's Blade? 3. Have you brewed a Panacea? 4. Have you eaten raw nightshade? 5. Have you ever become an unstoppable warrior (temporarily)? 6. Have you found alchemy equipment? 7. Have you trained with a highlander? 8. Have you worn rusty armor? 9. Have you discovered the truth about Abominations? 10. Have you finished the scenario with the prefab? -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. Frostbite: Get It While It's...... Hot? Then, as we escaped, I was told to go back for it... :/ 5) No... ? 6) Yes. Lots. :P 7) Yeah - is that right at the beginning? You get tired after, right? 8) Dunno. 9) ...? 10) Yes. Rusty armor isn't worth it for the prefab. It's far too encumbering and too out of the way to be useful. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

1. Have you found Orrin's Broadsword? No. 2. Have you found the Defender's Blade? No. 3. Have you brewed a Panacea? A what? 4. Have you eaten raw nightshade? Yes. In fact, I ODed on it at one point. 5. Have you ever become an unstoppable warrior (temporarily)? Yes. See Q4. :P 6. Have you found alchemy equipment? The one under the sleeping pad, but that's it. 7. Have you trained with a highlander? Not sure. 8. Have you worn rusty armor? I used that for the entire scenario. 9. Have you discovered the truth about Abominations? What truth? That they're a pain in the [censored], or that they were designed by a wizard who wanted energy-sucking intelligent constructs? 10. Have you finished the scenario with the prefab? Yes. Did I do it without resorting to the Character editor? No. (I think I boosted my strength no less than 4 different times, though I didn't know that you were supposed to stay in combat.) -------------------- Scenarios need reviews! 1. Have you found Orrin's Broadsword? Nope. 2. Have you found the Defender's Blade? I think so. 3. Have you brewed a Panacea? Not as far as I can recall. 4. Have you eaten raw nightshade? *Read: have I ever killed myself with raw nightshade?* Oh yea. 5. Have you ever become an unstoppable warrior (temporarily)? RAHHHHHH!!!! 6. Have you found alchemy equipment? Under the sleeping pad. 7. Have you trained with a highlander? Every time, I think. 8. Have you worn rusty armor? Annoying to get and annoying to wear, but superb defense. Some fights are worth it, some it's a liability. 9. Have you discovered the truth about Abominations? Yea. Thanks for all the hypothermia damage. 10. Have you finished the scenario with the prefab? Wasn't easy, but it sure was fun. Posts: 883 | Registered: Wednesday, October 19 2005 07:00 |

Lots of reloads and some of the fights depended more on luck than skill, Missed some items, but some places are very time sensitive. Has anyone made it through on torment mode? My singleton was too high to choose this lol Edit: I just prefabricated just then, and it made me even stronger, whats up with that? Took me from level 1 to level 75  [ Friday, July 06, 2007 12:02: Message edited by: Armed_Defender ] Posts: 16 | Registered: Friday, August 11 2006 07:00 |

That shouldn't happen if you're using a true level 1 singleton. I'm guessing that you somehow altered his level, or had a glut of EXP that hadn't turned into level ups (like when you give tons of EXP in the editor but still remain level 1 until you kill stuff) And I'm surprised nobody found Orrin's Broadsword-- it's quite easy. In a way I feel kind of proud of myself; apparently the "don't backtrack, don't delay" aspect of the scenario was so ingrained that nobody even attempted to backtrack and find it. -------------------- Guaranteed to blow your mind. I tried back tracking after reaching Amon Sul, but got blocked by a message barring going back. I didn't try after clearing the lower level because there are all those messages blocking exploration. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
