I have an old Mac game called Omega I could send to you, but I'm afraid it can't be downloaded anywhere. There's also the old Ultima III, but I don't know about the others in the series. If you like turn-based strategy there is Battle for Wesnoth. It's freeware, and has a large secnario making community.
