quote:Yeah, nothing meant by it. I'm sure my wife would wonder too. Which brings up a whole different thing. What do people actually talk about when they meet? I know Marlenny has met a few of us, and currently there is a little meetup going on in Tempe, so perhaps they can shed some light. I've met folks before that I had met on the intarwebs, and we didn't end up being all awkward, but I don't know if that is normal or not. So, anyone? -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Thralni - "a lot of people are ... too weird to be trusted" Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I met an author who I knew through books and the cute little messages he wrote on the Internet. I only started sending him fan letters after I talked to him and found out he was pretty cool. -------------------- "Of course, not all technology is good. I've met people I knew online. But we were a smaller and more tight-knit community, with older members and a very defined goal. When we ran out of other things to say, we just began discussing stories, fictional biographies, etc. We also had an agenda of places and events we were going to visit, so we didn't end up sitting around awkwardly. It worked very well. -------------------- The Noble and Ancient Order of Polaris - We're Not Yet Dead. Every time I drive up to Seattle to visit relatives, the thought of meeting a Spiderwebber always crosses my mind. But even here in Winnemucca it isn't unlikely. I mean, we are on the intersection of two highways. -------------------- Jesus is a pacifist. Posts: 1384 | Registered: Tuesday, February 6 2007 08:00 |
