Tyran's link is (And has been for as long as I've been here) a 404. Is there any Spiderweb chat room currently active here? irc://irc.sorcery.net/spiderweb can only be said not to be dead because it was never alive in the first place. In over a year, I've met four people there. Tyran's link leads to the chatroom on AIM named spidweb (for SW General) and possibly blades (for BoX designers). You do not need a link to join these rooms; merely an AIM account and an IM client capable of accessing the AOL network (I recommend Pidgin and heavily advise against AOL's own client). These rooms are frequented only very rarely. There were times when a chat could spontaneously begin without somebody announcing a coordinated chat time a week ahead. But these times are long over. Speaking of which, perhaps this would be an idea. Anyone up for Saturday, third of November? I just tested the link myself. It works. If you don't have an AIM client installed, then you probably would get a 404. If you're on a Mac, I would suggest Adium. I'm on the 18/6 schedule at the moment. I'm on the insomniac schedule. Sleep too little every night until exhaustion catches up to me, then try not to nap during the day and make myself even more hopelessly sleepless and sleep a full eight hours in a night.
