Tyran's link is (And has been for as long as I've been here) a 404. Is there any Spiderweb chat room currently active here? Or do you all get enough insanity with posts?

irc://irc.sorcery.net/spiderweb can only be said not to be dead because it was never alive in the first place. In over a year, I've met four people there.

Tyran's link leads to the chatroom on AIM named spidweb (for SW General) and possibly blades (for BoX designers). You do not need a link to join these rooms; merely an AIM account and an IM client capable of accessing the AOL network (I recommend Pidgin and heavily advise against AOL's own client).

These rooms are frequented only very rarely. There were times when a chat could spontaneously begin without somebody announcing a coordinated chat time a week ahead. But these times are long over.

Speaking of which, perhaps this would be an idea. Anyone up for Saturday, third of November?

I just tested the link myself. It works. If you don't have an AIM client installed, then you probably would get a 404. If you're on a Mac, I would suggest Adium. On a Windows or Linux box, use Pidgin.

Any specific times? Might not make it though, I'm trying a new tactic this year - go to bed early, wake up in the wee hours. It's healthier, I'm sure.

I'm on the 18/6 schedule at the moment. Taking naps on the bus rides help, and as long as I sleep in on Saturdays, I'm reasonably good.

I'm on the insomniac schedule. Sleep too little every night until exhaustion catches up to me, then try not to nap during the day and make myself even more hopelessly sleepless and sleep a full eight hours in a night. Then do it again!

—Alorael, who is currently post-crash. That means he's relatively rested and totally unable to sleep before the wee hours of the morning. Hooray!

I'm asleep right now! Zzzzzzzz

Really though, I work at a bakery, so I go to bed by 6 P.M. and get up between 12 and 3 in the morning depending on what time I start that day.

What time tomorrow are we proposing for the chat?

Edit: Or we could pick 2 times 12 hours apart.

Just now. Isn't it fun?

Also, as fun as it might be to stretch the days and nights, slowly descending into madness would be kinda bad for my schooling, and writing. :P
