Friends, Romans, countrypeople; fellow travelers on Spaceship Earth: I have had the most awesome idea. It occurred to me in the Geneforge series forum, but it demands a wider audience. Jeff must begin selling coffee mugs that look like Geneforge canisters. That is all. -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty. That would indeed be awesome. I'd buy one, and I'm not even that much of a Geneforge fan. -------------------- The Noble and Most Ancient Order of Polaris - We're Not Yet Dead. A simpler publicity gimmick would be just a widget that lets you click on a canister and get the sound effect. It could display a message that you gain a point in some random ability — not necessarily a Geneforge ability. -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty. That would indeed be awesome, and I'd probably buy one. While we're at it, might as well come up with more gifts. Skribbane pens, Maps/Globes of the respective worlds, shirts, etc. etc. ad nauseum. -------------------- I don't need no stinking signature. Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

quote:I'd buy it. Now, if it was a guy shaper with that voice, then the humor value would triple. One day, a man has everything. Then the next day, he blows up a billion dollar space station. And then the next day, he has nothing. Makes you think, huh, Kif? We don't know who they are or where they come from, but we do know that they stand for everything we don't stand for. Also, I heard they said you guys look like dorks. A stuffed GIFTS. Seriously. I'd buy a whole family. —Alorael, who can't say the same for GIFTR. Their names are more original, but their cuteness is lacking. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Delicious vlish cuisine. I'm in favor of that coffee mug and widget idea. I'd also like a shirt. Edit: I made some Geneforge Awakened and Servile mix desktop wallpaper if anyone wants that. It's nothing spectacular but I believe it is the first of its kind. 1024 x 768 PNG format. What are you talking about Iffy? There hasn't been a single spoiler in the whole thread. If you're talking about the Xian Skull, it's in A/E3, and is an insignificant, if not hilarious, item. I admit, a Xian Skull would be awesome. The only skull I have on my desk write now is syrofoamy and doesn't talking -------------------- I don't need no stinking signature. If you want it to be truly authentic, it would only speak at times when speaking would be annoying. Of course, anyone who writes something so intrusive should be dragged out into the street and shot. Hmmm. Wouldn't be too hard - HTML, XML, and a touch of scripting. Granted, I only know a little HTML, and nothing of the type of scripting that's required, but let's see what I can come up with before I get bored... -------------------- "My knees are lactating." On second thought, a "Weird Meat" t-shirt with the graphic blown up big and the text beneath it would be awesome (and incredibly obscure). Posts: 102 | Registered: Monday, September 3 2007 07:00 |
