Dikiyoba.

That's why I don't have a credit card. Too bad the credit card companies won't take no for an answer.

On a very serious note, here is a link to show how easy it is to steal someone's identity.

Credit Card Application

The guy pictured in your link looks like he is giggling maniacally while taping that application together. Why is evil so much fun?

Rob is awesome.
And it's his credit card application so he's not really doing anything evil.
There's a video clip on Youtube that explains everything so you don't have to read.

Wow... this is impressive. Very sportsmanlike move, Jeff (I couldn't find a better word than sportsmanlike).

That said, I don't think I'd want to return anything... if anything, I need to check and make sure that I haven't lost any codes from all of the crashes I had this spring...

I guess Jeff got tired of all the people that took him up on his old method for getting a refund. It probably delayed Geneforge 4 having to listen to people curse him out for several minutes for a refund.

You can run through Geneforge 4 in about 50 to 60 hours depending upon how many areas you visit and whether you are taking notes. Although at that rate you probably aren't enjoying the game that much.

Of course - in this case, the effort is on behalf of getting the money, unlike with donation ware, where the user has to make an effort to pay.

Laziness makes the economy work. I suddenly get warm fuzzies about my powers of procrastination.

No. You can return it within the year if you aren't satisfied.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Nioca.

—Alorael, who has himself on occasion decided not to register a game not because it was too expensive but because he didn't want to go through the effort of filling out the form and mailling the letter. Online ordering makes buying easier, but still not effortless. On a related note, this same principle goes a long way towards explaining Apple's success with selling music through iTunes.

That wasn't what I meant. No comment on the accuracy of Magma's statement. Though you were probably thinking of doesn't, not don't.

This is my first post in a horribly long time, but anyway...

This a pretty damn good idea, more companys should do it, I think the reason most dont is the fraud issue, although as has been said, people who want to commit fraud will whatever happens.

On an unrelated matter, teh thread title reminds me of the song 'Macy's Day parade' By Green Day :/
