I nominate myself for Siberia. I know its not a country but the region blows cold in winter and hot in summer (I have been known to swing from indifference to passionate outrage at perceived slurs). And, I am not important enought to desrve a whole country. Correct that, I am but not eveyone may think so.

What's this surprise? I got two questions about it already! I was so sure I let this slip some time in the past few years...

You know, I'll just take Trinidad and Tobago, if nobody minds. Just because.

It was a bit of a surprise to me, actually... I don't recall ever hearing about it.

-X- gives himself Atlantis. For very obscure reasons.

And, now, if -X- were the President of the U.S.A. . .

*A closeup of -X-'s face, in dramatic pose*
*Deep, imposing voice speaks*
This. . . is the President. . .
He is the leader of our nation, the proud patron of a country. . .
*Zooms out*
*-X- is standing on a medium sized rock, surrounded by a swirling melee of death. He wields a custom-made Uzi and is firing randomly into the sea of red-coated soldiers. He is backed by an enormous sea of soldiers in camoflage. . .*
-X-: INVADE CANADA!!!

Either you've had extensive, truly severe brain trauma, or that joke was botched worse than Kerry could ever have imagined. :P

Oh, and you spelled both 'camouflage' and 'enormous' wrong. :D

Since I'm too lazy to go through myself, do we have a list of who's what country so far?

You know, I don't understand what all the fuss is about Kerry. I heard the joke the way he meant it and laughed uproariously.

Because the conotation of the Bush administration being the stupid ones, as opposed to the troops, is not clear. The troops are the ones that are actually "stuck in Iraq".

Only an idiot would actually think he would be stupid enough to call our troops stupid though.

Sure, Kerry's remarks were perfectly understandable. But they are still not a good reflection on him in his line of work. The ideal US politician has to have perfect pitch for these kinds of things, a subconscious instinct for what never to say. It's not at all about what's sensible or smart to say or not say. It's about what might offend a touchy demographic slice, and what might make them warm to you instead.

Whatever his other merits, and it seems they are considerable, Kerry definitely does not have this hypertrophic common touch. For all his other faults, and it seems they are considerable, Bush does.

The proof being that despite the massive failures evidenced after 3.5 years in office, Bush still managed to beat Kerry. I'm pretty sure that if the Dems had nominated a llama in 2004 that it would have been a landslide. :P

Get a copy of Knights of the Dinner Table issue 119, where they have reprinted parts of a news story. The Israeli army has started using llamas instead of donkeys as pack animals since they are easier to train and will attack predators. Part of a reoccuring proof that B.A. Felton was right about how vicious llamas are when provoked.

Kerry kept his military record secret duirng the 2004 campaign to hide the fact that his GPA was lower than Bush's. He didn't want the truth to come out that academically he was stupider than that idiot Bush.

Does anyone feel like figuring out which countries are the greatest producers of each element (when applicable) and trying to map our elements onto our countries? This could even become material for great symbolic literature one day...

—Alorael, who wonders what other numerous items can be used to describe Spiderwebbers. What kind of food? Animal? Liquid? Common software? Maybe Spiderwebbers should be divided by which kind of list would be most appropriate.

Wow, that would be an ambitious goal. It would, however, solve the question of who grows the most radishes...always been wondering about that.
