I had been suffering Spidweb withdrawals for some time, and was thinking about replaying Geneforge or Avernum, and then I thought I'd check the news and wow! Now I just cannot wait. Just looking at those screenshots makes me feel intensely "homesick" for the gameworld. I've been playing Oblivion the past couple of months, and I adore it, but somehow it's just not as enjoyable as a Spiderweb game. I'm not sure quite why - perhaps it's because Spiderweb's RPGs were the first I ever played, so everything else gets compared to them. Either way, roll on the end of 2006. -------------------- Behind, the sea of time and space roars and follows swiftly Posts: 280 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Unfortunately, Mac users have to wait until the end of this year and us PC users have to wait until next year. :( At least the more time spent on it, the better it'll be. -------------------- Ignorance Is bliss -Cypher (Matrix) Don't think you can; know you can -Morpheus (Matrix) sanity is overrated :) Posts: 130 | Registered: Monday, February 7 2005 08:00 |

Oh god- I feal nauseic (G4) Don't get me wrong-- I'll still play at least the demo. The notion of, say, disguising one's self as a shaper to infiltrate their fortresses suggests the potential for an interesting use of diplomacy. We'll see, however, how well this plays out. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

If Jeff made games to please you he'd have no customers left and you'd still be grumbling, TM. —Alorael, who doesn't mean to say that Jeff is above criticism. He just means to say that TM doesn't criticize when he can lambast. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

TM would probably prefer to see Blades of Exile 2 as the next one. For gamer's withdrawl there is still always Nethergate. It's almost like Avernum in style with better spells. The problem with the Blades of Geneforge idea is that the scenarios would be so insanely difficult. -------------------- "I can't read this thread with that image.
